This program is designed to introduce our youngest juniors to the game of golf in a fun and casual atmosphere.

Gators Swim Team The Ridgewood Gators Swim Team is a summer sports program for children up to the age of 16. Our goal is to provide a supportive fun environment and a true team experience for all those involved. We have three swim coaches. Joining the swim team is a great way to make new friends, learn about the sport, and have an exciting and productive summer.

Pr act ice: Practice will be held Monday through Friday. Friday is game day. All ages at 10am.

Practice will NOT be held on Swim Meet days (night or morning).

Practice starts Ju n e 20t h and will run through Ju ly 29t h .

Our season runs from the end of June through the end of July.

Par en t Volu n t eer s Our summer swimming league is possible through the efforts of all of our parents. At Swim Meets, parents serve as: - Tim er s: Keep time of the swimmer in your lane. We provide you with a stopwatch, clipboard and pencil and the swimmer in your lane (or the coach) will give you an event card. When the whistle blows you start timing, when the swimmer touches the wall stop the watch, and record the time on the card.

- Ru n n er s: Collect the event cards from the timers in each lane. After every event you will collect the cards of each swimmer in the race from the timer in their lanes and bring them to the score table.

- Scor ek eeper s: Keep score of the event based on the place of each swimmer as provided by the official of the meet.

- Ribbon w r it er s: Write out the ribbons for every swimmer in every race and file them into the appropriate family ribbon mailbox. Once the swim meet schedule is finalized, our parent volunteer coordinator will be contacting the parents of registered children regarding volunteering at the meets. All families will be expected to volunteer and help at meets throughout the summer. Your help is greatly appreciated and necessary.

Pool Director/Swim Coach Our Pool Director, Jill Cook started at Ridgewood taking over management of the pool complex and also the swim team.

Jill has a strong background in coaching. She is the Head Swim Coach for Western Connecticut State University Men?s and Women?s Swimming and Diving teams. Jill has held this position since 1999. Some of her Academic and Athletic Achievements include the following: - 34 Semesters of College Swimming Coaches of America Academic All-American Team - 118 Dean?s List Recipients - 3 SAAC Scholar-Athlete Recipients - 1 ECAC Award of Valor Honor - 136 University records set - 7 Little East Conference Champions - 39 All-Little East Conference Honors - 6 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Champions - 93 All-New England Honors Our Gator swimmers will be in good hands being coached by Jill this season.
