WHAT’S in a landscape! It depends on whom you ask. A street survey would yield answers like “waterfalls, mountains, sunsets, and oceans.” An artist might talk about composition rules and color relationships, while scientists might talk about the flora, fauna, or geology of the scene. A nature philosopher such as Emerson or Thoreau would talk about how symbols and themes found within the landscape can give insight into the transcendent divine qualities of nature, of which we are a part. What I love about landscapes, is that it is none of these things, yet all of them at the same time. What’s in a landscape? You are.

As soon as you stop and look at the landscape, a part of you has already moved in and put up its feet within the scene. You might not know exactly what you’re looking at, but you remember the last time you were in nature; the sound of the water, the cool feeling of the mist, and what you felt while there. No landscape is complete without you.

Will

WILL’S mission is to help restore a child-like state of, “awe and wonder” in the world, and to help people recover and rediscover the innocence that resides in connection with their authentic self. Will’s relationship with life as a photographer, as well as a psychotherapist, is through the lens of the “Mystical”: revealing the inner dimensions of everything. Through creativity and spiritual teachings, it is his goal to safely show people how to see the truth that lies within anything

From 3600 feet above the ground in a hot air balloon, the coiled stillness of the Timber Rattlesnake, storm chasing for the ultimate lightening strike, the elusive majesty of the Bald Eagle, the historical presence of the Stanley Cup Trophy, the essence of the Great Bedford Oak, the swiftness of the Peregrine Falcon, event photography, professional office decor, fine art and personal portraiture, website photography, editorial photography, light-painting photography … Will’s photography is a kaleidoscope for your inspiration!

DID you know that one-third of humanity cannot see the Milky Way at night due to the luminescent glow of artificial light? My mission is to travel to the few remaining places in the world where the stars are visible in hopes of capturing their essence and sharing it with you.

I’m a photographer and video editor specializing in travel/landscape photography, and storytelling with video! My work often involves creating content for brands in the form of educational pieces or stunning visual displays, as well as selling fine art prints. I’m most passionate about landscape astrophotography - connecting our planet to the vast universe. In my other life, I’m a classically trained violinist with a master’s degree in performance!

My work has been featured by NASA, seen on major news networks such as CBS, Washington Post, Newsweek, and more, and been seen tens of millions of times on social media.

NAMIBIAN ART

AS a photographer and graphic designer, Burger challenged herself to create a series of images from specimens that she grew or collected in her garden. This endeavor presented the perfect blend of two of her passions, photography and horticulture. Her approach in the Botanicals series looks at the garden through a close-up view of color, form, and texture. Burger developed this unusual approach to capturing images without a conventional camera, instead, she employs a flatbed scanner. This allows for greater-than-life scale and clarity of minute details, resulting in a unique perspective for the viewer. The Botanicals series shows objects abstracted against a stark black background, allowing the mystery of nature to rise to the forefront. Burger ran her own marketing communications firm, serving as the principal, art director and graphic designer. She also served as a faculty member in the Graphic Design Department at Rochester Institute of Technology. Later in her career, she was an art and photography educator for teens and adults. Debra’s work includes design, photography, collage, mixed media and fiber arts. She is a member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists and the Ridgefield Guild of Artists.
