“This month, Carteret Landing wants to shine the spotlight on Robert Tyson. Tyson joined our dietary team as a cook in April of 2019. The residents are always excited when they know Tyson is cooking, saying “He always makes such good meals!" Another resident said “Tyson is always so helpful, he finds a way to get me what I want.”
This is a sentiment echoed by his coworkers here at Carteret Landing. I often hear team members say “Don’t worry, Tyson is here.” I remember when our dietary manager was on vacation and one of the other cooks had a family emergency. When I asked Tyson what he needed, his response was “Don’t worry, I’ve got it covered.” He then worked multiple days covering breakfast, lunch and dinner to make sure our residents continued to receive the best meals possible.
Tyson’s positive can do attitude as well as his customer service to both the residents and team members is why he is our Spotlight on Success.

“What would we do without Bill!? He is always such a smiling face throughout our building and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He is our Transportation Driver, but really, he is so much more! He goes above and beyond for every single team member and resident! He loves helping with activities, maintenance, and keeping our building beautiful inside and out! He accompanies us on our big outings to the beach or out of town, and the residents love having him join. He makes Arbor Landing Hampstead a better place, and we wouldn't be as amazing without him!

meaningful MOMENTS
“It’s always such a meaningful thing to be able to spend time with our veterans in the communities and to see them come together.
At Arbor Landing at Compass Pointe, I had about 10 of my resident veterans come together with the Compass Pointe neighborhood veterans club. They sat down with coffee and donuts and shared their experiences, their hardships, and most of all their camaraderie, all while celebrating each other and other veterans.

meaningful MOMENTS
“Arbor Ridge Huntersville has partnered with two local schools, Cabarrus College of Health Science (CCHS) Master’s Program for Occupational Therapy and UNC Charlotte’s Gerontology Department.
We are happy to have CCHS for our second year at ARH. Twelve of our residents signed up to partner with Occupational Therapy students for 3 sessions. This gives students the opportunity to provide assessments and individualized interventions, therapeutic education sessions as well as group exercise programs. It’s beneficial and fun for all!
For the UNCC Gerontology Department, our Fall 24 intern is a young woman named Abbey. Our residents love to have Abbey in the building and have welcomed her with open arms. Abbey is pictured with Ms. Pearl who worked on her pumpkin painting skills. Our volunteer Tami teaches a step by step painting class each month. Pearl attends every month. She is now proudly displaying her painting in her nook outside her apartment door!
