GRANT ANDERSON POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 6/21/97 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 180 HOMETOWN: PORT ARTHUR, TX

A former 21st-round selection by the Mariners in 2018, Anderson was traded to the Rangers in 2019 for pitcher Connor Sadzeck. In 2019 with Low-A Hickory, Anderson made 37 appearances, going 7-4 with a 3.22 ERA. Anderson split time between Hickory and Frisco last season, striking out 61 batters in 54.2 innings.

DIOSBEL ARIAS POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 7/21/96 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 210 HOMETOWN: HAVANA, CUBA

Arias joined the Rangers organization from Cuba and he has been a mark of consistency ever since. With Short-Season Low-A Spokane in 2018, Arias won the Northwest League batting title and was named a Postseason All-Star. He followed that up by being named a Mid-Season All-Star with the Down East Wood Ducks in the Carolina League the next year. Arias recorded 101 hits in his 102 games in a riders uniform last season.

CODY BRADFORD POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 4/7/97 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 205 HOMETOWN: ALEDO, TX

Former Baylor Bears starter Bradford was third in the High-A East with 87 strikeouts over 61.2 inning before being promoted to Frisco in early August. Bradford missed most of his 2019 season after undergoing surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome – which causes the nerves that pass between the collarbone and first rib to become compressed. in 7 starts with the riders, bradford ended his season with 41 STRIKEOUTS IN 34.2 INNINGS OF WORK. his 128 strikeouts led all texas farmhands in 2021.

BLAINE CRIM

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 6/17/97 | HEIGHT: 5’11” | WEIGHT: 200 HOMETOWN: MOBILE, AL After being picked up by the Rangers in the 19th round of the 2019 draft out of mississippi college, crim hit .335/.398/.528 with Short Season Low-A Spokane and he continued that in 2021, bashing 20 homers while hitting .300 with Hickory before being promoted to Frisco. in the 2021-22 offseason, crim took home the batting title for the liga de beisbol profesional roberto clemente (lbprc) after finishing with a .402 batting average. crim’s milb career ops sits at a .923 in 163 games.

EZEQUIEL DURAN POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 4/22/99 | HEIGHT: 5’11” | WEIGHT: 185 HOMETOWN: SAN JUAN DE LA MAGUANA, DR

duran was one of two RIDERS TO BREAK CAMP ROSTER to represent the rangers in the arizona fall league last october, accompanying teammate tim brennan. the rangers acquired duran in the yankees trade for joey gallo and joely rodriguez last summer. duran immediately made the rangers top 30 prospects list, and finished last year with an .828 ops, entering this season as the rangers fourth-best prospect.

SANDRO FABIAN POSITION: CATCHER | DOB: 2/6/00 | HEIGHT: 5’11” | WEIGHT: 200 HOMETOWN: CARACAS, VZ

at 24 years old, sandro fabian joins the roughriders after signing as a minor-league free agent in march 2022. fabian joins the rangers with just under 500 games of minor league experience through six seasons, including 89 with the richmond flying squirrels (sfg) a season ago.

DAVID GARCIA POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 3/6/98 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 180 HOMETOWN: SANTO DOMINGO, DR

catcher david garcia makes his double-a debut with frisco in 2022 after a full season in hickory a year ago. garcia was good for 40 rbi and 13 doubles at the plate, and only committed 7 errors in his 73 games played in. garcia’s 2019 efforts earned him a spot on the rangers 40-man roster in 2020.

KEVIN GOWDY POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 11/16/97 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 170 HOMETOWN: SANTA BARBARA, CA

GOWDY WAS A SECOND ROUND SELECTION BY THE PHILLIES IN 2016, BUT ONLY MADE FOUR APPEARANCES BY THE START OF 2019, DUE TO A TOMMY JOHN SURGERY IN AUGUST 2017. THE RANGERS ACQUIRED GOWDY FROM PHILADELPHIA, ALONG WITH TWO OTHER RIGHTY PITCHERS, IN THE CROUSE/KENNEDY/GIBSON TRADE IN JULY 2021.

The rangers acquired hair after he signed as a free agent last summer, playing in 66 games with high-a hickory to conclude the season. hair averaged a .291 at the plate, finishing the season with an .893 ops. in a minor-league career that dates back to 2017, hair makes his double-a debut with frisco in 2022.

DUSTIN HARRIS POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 7/8/99 | HEIGHT: 6’2” | WEIGHT: 185 HOMETOWN: TAMPA, FL

dustin harris begins the 2022 season in a riders uniform, making his double-a debut. entering as the organization’s tom grieve minor league player of the year, harris knocked 20 hr and swiped 25 bags on 27 tries. listed as an outfielder, harris has gained all of his experience since 2019 as a corner infielder, and holds a career fielding percentage of .992 at first. in 50 games in down east, harris didn’t commit a single error in 357 chances at first base.

LUCAS JACOBSEN POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 7/1/95 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 210 HOMETOWN: CAMPBELL, CA

the rangers drafted jacobsen out of long beach state in the 27th round of the 2016 draft and designated him to the arizona league until 2017. most recent action came in 2019 for jacobsen in hickory, where he recorded 48 batters in 30 innings. Despite beginning the season designated to triple-a round rock, jacobsen didn’t make an appearance last year.

ZAK KENT

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 2/24/98 | HEIGHT: 6’3” | WEIGHT: 208 HOMETOWN: HENRICO, VA

Kent was picked from Virginia Military Institute in the ninth round of the 2019 draft by the Rangers after a wonderful career with the Keydets.

To start 2021, Kent went 6-2 over 14 games with a 2.83 ERA, striking out 78 over 60.1 innings with High-A Hickory before being promoted to Frisco. in his six games with the riders, kent waived 39 batters in 28.2 innings.

NASH KNIGHT

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 9/20/92 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 205 HOMETOWN: DENTON, TX

a native of denton, tx, nash knight joins the riders after signing as a minor-league free agent in march. after six years in toronto’s system, knight joins frisco with just under 500 games under his belt. knight drove in 26 runs on seven homers with toronto’s triple-a buffalo last season.

CHASE LEE

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 8/13/98 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 170 HOMETOWN: BIRMINGHAM, AL

A native of Birmingham, Lee attempted to walk-on to the Alabama baseball team his freshman year but did not make the team in a tryout.

After dropping down to throw sidearm and pitching for the club team, he made the Alabama baseball and became one of the best relievers in Crimson Tide history with a career 1.87 era. lee cracked the double-a level in his draft year, striking out 27 batters in 13 games with frisco.

JACK LEITER

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 4/21/00 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 205 HOMETOWN: SUMMIT, NJ

after high school, leiter’s name was called by the new york yankees in the 20th round of the 2019 draft, but deferred to a college career at vanderbilt for two years. leiter dominated his four appearances before covid shut down 2020, striking out 22 batters in 15.2 innings. the following season was what 2020 promised - leiter finished tied (with teammate kumar rocker) for most strikeouts in the country (179) in 18 starts, earning a unanimous first-team all-american nod and the rangers top draft pick in 2021.

J.P. MARTINEZ POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 3/21/96 | HEIGHT: 5’9” | WEIGHT: 180 HOMETOWN: BARACOA, CUBA

One of the top talents in the 2018 international sphere, Martinez has been playing professional-level baseball since he was 16 in Cuba. A blend of speed and power, Martinez hit 15 home runs and stole 28 bases in 2019 between Down East and Hickory. Martinez knocked 13 doubles in his 81 games with the riders last season.

SETH NORDLIN

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 9/4/97 | HEIGHT: 6’2” | WEIGHT: 225 HOMETOWN: MESA, AZ nordlin played his college ball at junior college gateway (az) before being drafted in the 13th round by the rangers in 2017. Nordlin broke the complex in 2018, striking out 79 batters in 68.1 innings for the Spokane Indians in 2018. Spending last season in Hickory, Nordlin upped his strikeouts to 87 in 20 appearances, and makes his Double-A debut with the Riders in 2022.

JONATHAN ORNELAS POSITION: INFIELDERS | DOB: 5/26/00 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 195 HOMETOWN: PEORIA,AZ

texas drafted high-schooler jonathan ornelas out of kellis hs (glendale, az) in the third round of 2018’s draft. ornelas averaged .302 at the plate in the complex league in his draft year, finishing 48 games with an .848 ops. ornelas averaged a .259 in his last two seasons spent with hickory, and makes his double-a debut in 2022 with frisco as a 21-year-old.

FERNERY OZUNA POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 11/9/95 | HEIGHT: 5’9” | WEIGHT: 190 HOMETOWN: NIGUA, DR

Ozuna was originally signed as an infielder by the Diamondbacks in 2012 and was released in 2018. Two months later, the Rangers picked him up and tried to move him to the mound, after just throwing 12 innings, he had to have “Tommy John” surgery and has returned with a triple-digits fastball. in 32 appearances, ozuna posted a 5-3 record in 45.2 innings and 51 strikeouts.

Pronounced pro-SESH-en, the 28-year-old has seen plenty of action over his seven seasons in professional baseball. Originally drafted by the Red Sox in the 14th round of the 2014 draft out of Northern Kentucky, Procyshen spent five seasons in the Boston organization before heading to the Dodgers’ High-A and Double-A in 2019. Procyshen has logged 532 inning behind the plate.

COLE RAGANS POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 12/12/97 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 205 HOMETOWN: CRAWFORDVILLE, FL

A former first-round selection in 2016, Ragans was he a top-10 high school arm in the nation before he went 30th overall to Texas. The southpaw impressed in Short Season Low-A Spokane in 2017, being named the best prospect in the Northwest League by Baseball America before injuries derailed his next two seasons. After undergoing two ‘Tommy John’ surgeries, he missed the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons, he appeared in the 2021 All-Star Futures Game and debuted in Double-A Frisco the same week. ragans posted a 3-1 record in his 9 appearances in 2021.

JUSTIN SLATEN POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 9/15/97 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 222 HOMETOWN: LONGVIEW, TX

slaten continues his climb through the rangers system after making his high-a debut in hickory last year. in 19 starts, slaten struck out 110 batters in 82.1 innings. a native of longview, tx, slaten’s name was called by the rangers in the 3rd round of the 2019 draft out of new mexico, following 90 strikeouts in 75.1 in 2018-19 with the lobos.

NICK STARR

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 12/3/96 | HEIGHT: 6’3” | WEIGHT: 225 HOMETOWN: MEMPHIS, TN

starr began his collegiate career at connors state college (ncjaa) in oklahoma before transfering to southern arkansas. After a 2019 in spokane and hickory, Starr dominated with down east to begin 2021, holding batters to an .059 average in five outings. the right-hander finished with hickory, waiving 52 batters in 33.1 innings.

JOSH STOWERS POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 2/25/97 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 200 HOMETOWN: CHICAGO, IL

a former Louisville Cardinal, stowers was acquired from the new york yankees in april 2021 for former riders infielder rougned odor. Stowers was a Third-Team All-American in 2018 at Louisville after hitting .336 with nine home runs, 60 RBIs and 36 steals. Stowers mashed 20 homers in 89 games with the riders last season.

KELLEN STRAHM POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 4/25/97 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 215 HOMETOWN: EUGENE, OR

drafted in the fifth round out of san jose state, strahm ranked as a northwest league mid-season all-star in 2019 before the call up to high-a last season in hickory. strahm slashed .281/.388/.448 with the crawdads, only playing in 50 games dealing with injury.

TYLER THOMAS POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 12/22/95 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 175 HOMETOWN: SAN DIEGO, CA

thomas is one of 15 returning roughriders from last year’s end-of-season roster. along with frisco, thomas appeared in hickory and round rock in 2021, collecting 71 strikeouts in 59 innings. thomas received the promotion from hickory after five appearances for the ‘dads by posting 19 strikeouts in 13 innings, issuing just three walks.

TAI TIEDEMANN POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 5/31/96 | HEIGHT: 6’6” | WEIGHT: 195 HOMETOWN: LAKEWOOD, CA

Tiedemann began the 2021 season with High-A Hickory before being promoted to Frisco in early August. After being selected by the Rangers in the eighth round of the 2016 draft out of Long Beach City College, Tiedemann pitched with Short Season Low-A Spokane in 2017 and 2018 before spending 2019 with the crawdads. After being a starter his entire career, Tiedemann moved to the bullpen in 2019.

MATT WHATLEY POSITION: CATCHER | DOB: 1/7/96 | HEIGHT: 5’9” | WEIGHT: 200 HOMETOWN: CLAREMORE, OK

Whatley is widely known as one of the best defensive catchers in the Rangers system and that culminated in the 2019 Texas Rangers Minor League Defender of the Year Award. The Oklahoma native excelled in college at Oral Roberts University as well, taking home the Johnny Bench Award in 2017 as the nation’s best catcher. Oral Roberts University also produced Rangers and former RoughRiders catcher Jose Trevino.

AVERY WEEMS POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 6/6/97 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 220 HOMETOWN: FLAGSTAFF, AZ

weems joined the rangers organization in 2020 in an off-season trade that sent lance lynn to the white sox in exchange for weems and dane dunning. his lone season with the rangers, weems punched out 124 batters in 85.1 innings, allowing 27 walks. weems minor-league career has seen a k/9 rate of 12.23, and makes his double-a debut in frisco in 2022.

GRANT WOLFRAM POSITION: CATCHER | DOB: 12/12/96 | HEIGHT: 6’8” | WEIGHT: 240 HOMETOWN: HAMILTON, MI

out of davenport university (gliac, ncaa dii), wolfram stands at 6’8 as the tallest member of the riders roster on opening day. wolfram spent back-to-back summers in hickory, but call it a promotion from the ‘dads promotion from a (full) status in 2019 to a-advanced in 2021. last season, wolfram struck out 99 batters in 66.1 innings, while allowing 34 walks in his 17 outings.
