Cardoza enters his third year as RoughRiders after managing the Riders to an 8454 record and the Texas League North First Half title in 2024 Frisco’s 609 winning percentage marked the best year in franchise history Cardoza’s 148 wins already rank fourth in franchise history among 10 total managers Before managing Frisco, Cardoza managed High-A Hickory (2020, 2022), Low-A Down East (2021), AZL Rangers (2019) and DSL Rangers 2 (2016-19). In 2023, he piloted the Surprise Saguaros to an Arizona Fall League Title and was bench with Cangrejeros de Santurce of the Puerto Rican Winter League. TheSan PR native played two years at Georgia State and two years at Armstrong Atlantic State, where he was a gold glove second baseman.

JULIOVALDEZ PITCHINGCOACH

Julio Valdez joins Frisco after serving as the pitching coach for High-A Hickory in 2024 and with Low-A Down East before that in 2023. Starting his sixth season with the Rangers organization, he had previously held the same role for the Arizona Complex League Rangers (2022) and the Dominican Summer League Rangers (2020-2021) Valdez started his coaching career with his alma mater, Alabama State, in 2017 before transitioning to the Director of Pitching at the s Pitching Institute in El Paso He spent two years at TPI before taking the me role at Baseball Rebellion in Durham, his last stop before joining the Rangers organization

RYANTUNTLAND

HITTING COACH

Tuntland will return to Frisco in 2025 after serving as the club’s hitting coach in both 2023 and 2024 Under Tuntland, the 2024 RoughRiders finished third in franchise history with 150 steals and fifth in walks (481) In 2023, the Riders set franchise records with 680 walks and a .355 team on-base percentage. Starting his fourth season with the Rangers organization, Tuntland was the hitting coach for Hickory in 2022 after serving as the hitting coach for the Arizona Complex League Rangers in 2021. From 2016 to 2018, the Illinois native coached in the egiate ranks at Oakton CC, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Virginia, his alma mater. Tuntland was drafted in the 29th round of the 2013 aft by San Francisco, hitting .227/.345/.338/.683 over his two seasons.

TYLERWOLFE

HITTING COACH

Wolfe will return to the RoughRiders for his second season in Double-A and his third season in the Rangers system In 2023, he served as the hitting coach for the ACL Rangers, helping guide an offense that finished with the second-most total bases in the ACL and tied for the second-most home runs Prior to joining the Rangers, Wolfe served two years as a hitting coordinator at Cressy Sports Performance in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Before that, he coached for two seasons in the St. Louis farm system with the Gulf Coast League Cardinals and spent four seasons as the head coach for Minnesota Blizzard Baseball, a 15U fall league team in Minneapolis/St. Paul. As a player, he was a 39th-round selection by the Astros in 2016 out of Kansas State University, reaching Double-A Corpus Christi.

KAWIKAEMSLEY-PAI BENCHCOACH

Emsley-Pai returns to the RoughRiders in 2025, where he specializes in working with the Frisco catchers In 2024, Riders’ catchers allowed just 101 steals, tied for the fewest among all full-season MiLB teams, while throwing out 26 percent of potential base stealers In 2023, RoughRiders' catchers had the second-fewest wild pitches and passed balls in the Texas League After coaching collegiately from 2019-2021 as the head coach of Centralia College in Washington state, he j i d the Rangers organization in 2022 with the Hickory Crawdads. A former catcher, Emsley-Pai played six seasons in the minor leagues for the ondbacks (2010) and Pirates (2011-15) systems, making his highest stop at Double-A Altoona in 2014.

CARSONPHILLIPS BULLPENCOACH

Phillips marks another new face to the staff, joining the Rangers organization for his primary year after serving as a bullpen coach in the Toronto Blue Jays organization for the last two seasons (2023-2024). He was with High-A Vancouver in 2024 and Triple-A Buffalo in 2023 after being a graduate assistant with the University of Arizona baseball team in 2022. Phillips also pitched at California Baptist, San Diego Mesa Community College and Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State)

ATHLETIC TRAINER

Theile heads to Frisco for his first season as well, spending his fourth year within the Rangers organization. The Milwaukee, WI native served as the athletic trainer for the Low-A Down East Wood Ducks in 2024 after being with the ACL affiliate in both 2022 and 2023. After attending both Marquette University and Georgia State (master’s degree), he served as an athletic training fellow at Florida Atlantic University, working with the baseball and cheer teams from June to December 2021

Platts returns to the RoughRiders for his third season in the Rangers organization in 2025 and his second in Frisco In his first year, he was the strength and conditioning coach for the Low-A Down East Wood Ducks before spending a season with the Cubs, working in the Dominican Summer League. The Canada native completed his strength and conditioning internship with the University of Iowa athletic department in 2022 and spent four years with the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Academy from 2019 through 2022. Platts played two seasons at Southeastern Community College in Iowa.

The 6-foot-3 southpaw was originally a seventh-round draft pick by the New York Yankees in 2021 before being traded to the Rangers with RHP Albert Abreu for C Jose Trevino on April 2, 2022 Ahlstrom first reached Frisco in 2023, posting a 3.81 ERA in 18 appearances. Ahlstrom returned in 2024, dominating with a 1 85 ERA in 30 appearances before his promotion to Triple-A Round Rock. The Eugene, Oregon native pitched for the University of Oregon, where he ranks 10th all-time in starts (28) and was an Honorable Mention All-Pac 12 in 2021

BEN ANDERSON

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 5/2/98 | HEIGHT: 6'4" | WEIGHT: 200 HOMETOWN: REXFORD, NY

The 26-year-old righty was a 13th-round pick by Texas in the 2019 MLB Draft out of Binghamton University (NY), where he won 2019 America East Pitcher of the Year. Anderson made a team-high 20 starts for Frisco in 2024, going 6-7 with a 3 48 ERA before being assigned to Triple-A Round Rock on Sept. 22. His twin brother, Ian, was a 2021 World Series Champion with the Braves and now pitches in the Angels organization. Ben, Ian and NBA veteran Kevin Huerter helped Shenendehowa High School to a New York Class AA baseball state title in 2016.

HOMETOWN: NEWMARKET, ON, CANADA

Bratt, MLB Pipeline’s No 21 Rangers prospect, was a fifth-round pick by Texas in 2021 out of Georgia Premier Academy. The Newmarket, Ontario native moved to Georgia after Canadian youth leagues were shut down due to COVID-19. Bratt earned Rangers MiLB.com Organizational All-Star honors in 2022 and 2023 He finished the 2024 season with Frisco, making seven starts. The southpaw pitched for Team Canada in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and was the fourth-youngest pitcher to start a WBC game when he faced Team USA

CAM CAULEY

POSITION: SS | DOB: 2/6/03 | HEIGHT: 5'10" | WEIGHT: 170 HOMETOWN: HOUSTON, TX

Cauley, MLB Pipeline’s No. 19 Rangers prospect, was a third-round pick by the Rangers in 2021 out of Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Entering 2025, the Houston native leads the Rangers organization with 101 stolen bases since 2022. In 93 games with Hickory in 2024, Cauley clubbed 35 extra-base hits and stole 27 bases Ahead of the 2025 season, Baseball America named him the Fastest Baserunner, Best Athlete and Best Defensive Infielder in the Texas organization At Barbers Hill, he starred on the gridiron and was an All-State wide receiver.

FRAINYER CHAVEZ

HOMETOWN: VALENCIA, VENEZUELA

Chavez enters 2025 having played parts of three seasons with Frisco after being drafted in the 22nd round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Midland Junior College. In 2024, Chavez batted .250 with four homers and 42 RBI in 78 games with Frisco before playing 35 games with TripleA Round Rock. He was a postseason hero for the Riders in 2022, hitting the go-ahead single in the 10th inning of the TLCS-clinching win over Wichita. The Venezuelan-born Chavez went to Little Elm High School, under 10 miles from Riders Field.

GAVIN COLLYER

HOMETOWN: LAWRENCEVILLE, GA

Collyer was a 12th-round pick by the Rangers in the 2019 MLB Draft out of Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Used mainly as a starter in his first two years of full-season Minor League ball, he moved to the bullpen during the 2023 season with High-A Hickory. In 2024 with the Crawdads, Collyer finished tied for fifth in the South Atlantic League with seven saves and struck out 78 in just 50 innings He made one appearance with Frisco on Sept. 12 at Amarillo, pitching one inning in a 10-7 loss

De Goti enters his second year in the Rangers organization after signing a Minor League contract in January of 2024. He brings MLB experience to Riders Field, playing two games in 2021 for the Houston Astros The Miami native was a 15th-round pick by the Astros in 2016 and spent six years in their organization In 2023, De Goti split time between Triple-A Jacksonville (Marlins) and Triple-A St. Paul (Twins). The Barry University product played 45 games with Frisco and 30 with Round Rock in 2024, batting .225 between the two levels.

KOHL DRAKE

HOMETOWN: SACHSE, TX

Drake, MLB Pipeline’s No. 14 Rangers prospect, was drafted in the 11th round by Texas in 2022 after pitching at Arkansas Tech, San Joaquin Delta College and Walters State Community College. In 2022 at Walters State, he was named NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Year, going 14-0 with a program-record 160 strikeouts Across three levels in 2024, Drake fanned 148 batters, the most by a Rangers farmhand since 2012. In five starts with Frisco, he went 2-1 with a 3 10 ERA and a 155 opposing average, earning a Non-Roster invitation to Spring Training.

PEYTON GRAY

HOMETOWN: COLUMBUS, IN

The 29-year-old Gray breaks camp with Frisco after not pitching in Minor League Baseball since 2021 with Double-A Northwest Arkansas (Royals) The Columbus, Indiana native has spent the last two winters pitching for Algonderos de Guasave in the Mexican Pacific Winter League, allowing just four earned runs and earning 24 saves in 50 appearances. Gray also pitched in the independent American Association in 2020 and 2023 He was signed as a Non-Drafted Free Agent by the Colorado Rockies in 2018 after pitching collegiately at Western Michigan, Gulf Coast State College and Florida Gulf Coast

SKYLAR HALES

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 10/24/01 | HEIGHT: 6'4" | WEIGHT: 220

HOMETOWN: RENO, NV

Hales, MLB Pipeline’s No. 26 Rangers prospect, was a fourth-round pick by Texas in 2023, making seven professional appearances after being drafted. Between High-A Hickory and Frisco in 2024, Hales led the Texas system with 10 saves and was third with 44 appearances The Reno, Nevada native went 3-0 with four saves, six holds and a 2.10 ERA in 24 appearances Hales starred at Santa Clara, earning Second Team All-West Coast Conference honors in 2023.

JOSH HATCHER

HOMETOWN: ALBANY, GA

The 26-year-old Hatcher was a 10th-round selection by Texas in 2022, reaching Frisco after just 72 games between ACL Rangers and High-A Hickory. In 2023, Hatcher swatted 14 homers in 100 games between Hickory and Frisco. Last season, he ranked second among qualified Double-A hitters with a .300 batting average. Hatcher played four years at Mississippi State, where he won the 2021 College World Series title, and one year at Kennesaw State. At KSU, he was a Collegiate Baseball Third Team All-American and First Team All-Atlantic Sun selection, becoming the third NCAA player ever to hit two cycles in the same season

STEVEN JENNINGS

HOMETOWN: BRUSH CREEK, TN

A native of Brush Creek, Tennessee, Jennings was selected in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft by Pittsburgh, where he reached as high as Double-A Altoona In 2021, he was the 20th pick in the Minor League Rule 5 Draft by the New York Yankees, pitching two seasons with Double-A Somerset After signing a Minor League contract with the Rangers, Jennings debuted with Frisco in 2024, going 6-1 with a 2.40 ERA in 25 appearances before making 17 appearances with Triple-A Round Rock.

RYAN LOBUS

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 9/8/00 | HEIGHT: 6'2" | WEIGHT: 180

HOMETOWN: MARIETTA, GA

Lobus signed with Texas as a Non-Drafted Free Agent on July 18, 2023 after three seasons at Mercer University and one at Chattanooga State Community College, where he started as a position player. In his first Minor League season, Lobus shined in 27 appearances, including 12 starts, between Low-A Down East, High-A Hickory and Frisco The Marietta, Georgia native posted a 2.96 ERA and 134 strikeouts while his 35.8% strikeout rate ranked second in MiLB (min 90 IP) Lobus made six appearances for Frisco, including two in the postseason.

TRAVIS MACGREGOR

MacGregor signed a Minor League Contract with the Rangers on Feb. 3, 2025 and enters his first season with the organization Originally a second-round pick by the Pirates in 2016, MacGregor spent seven years in their organization, reaching as high as Triple-A Indianapolis in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he pitched for Triple-A Salt Lake (Angels), sporting a 3.61 ERA across 43 appearances for the Bees

BRYAN MAGDALENO

HOMETOWN: SANTO DOMINGO, DR

Magdaleno was named 2024 Rangers Minor League Reliever of the Year after a dominant season between Low-A Down East, High-A Hickory and Frisco. The southpaw yielded just six earned runs all year, while his .134 batting average against was tied for second among MiLB pitchers (min 40 innings). From July 3 to Sept. 7, he pitched 19-straight innings without allowing a hit between the three levels The Santo Domingo, DR native has pitched four seasons in the Rangers organization after signing a Minor League Contract on Aug. 23, 2019.

LUIS MIESES

HOMETOWN: SANTO DOMINGO, DR

The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native signed a Minor League Contract with Texas on Feb. 27, 2024 and re-signed on Nov. 18, 2024. Mieses spent his first six Minor League seasons with the Chicago White Sox organization, where he was a MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2022 with High-A Winston Salem and Double-A Birmingham. After starting 2024 on the 7-day injured list and a rehab stint, he played 83 games between High-A Hickory and Frisco. With the RoughRiders, Mieses batted 281 with six homers and 20 RBI in 33 games

DANIEL MISSAKI

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 4/9/96 | HEIGHT: 6'0" | WEIGHT: 170 HOMETOWN: FUJINOMAYA, JAPAN

The 28-year-old from Japan first made headlines when he pitched for Brazil in the 2013 World Baseball Classic at just 16 years old. Fast forward to 2024, Missaki made 20 appearances between ACL Cubs, Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa in 2024, his first Minor League season since 2015 in the Mariners system That year, he was part of a trade that sent RHP Freddy Peralta and RHP Carlos Herrera to the Brewers for 1B Adam Lind. After being released, he embarked on a pro career overseas, pitching in Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Venezuela and is now back in the states looking to make the big leagues.

TUCKER MITCHELL

HOMETOWN: IRVING, TX

The 24-year-old backstop was a 14th-round pick by Texas in the 2021 MLB Draft after one year at Florida Atlantic and one year at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Before college, Mitchell played high school baseball at the prestigious IMG Academy. In 2024, he battled an injury in May, returned to High-A Hickory in late July and played his final 21 games with the RoughRiders. Between ACL Rangers, Hickory and Frisco, Mitchell posted a 624 OPS and hit seven homers

HOMETOWN: DUBUQUE, IA

Moller was a fourth-round pick by the Rangers in 2021 out of Wahlert High School, forgoing a commitment to LSU After 15 games with ACL Rangers in 2021, Moller played 155 games over the next two seasons with Low-A Down East He flashed defensively with High-A Hickory in 2024, ranking third in the South Atlantic League with a .989 fielding percentage and tied for seventh with 22 runners caught stealing His 16 stolen bases led Texas Minor League catchers.

KEYBER RODRIGUEZ

HOMETOWN: MARACAY, VENEZUELA

Rodriguez enters his eighth season in the Rangers organization after signing a Minor League Contract on July 2, 2017 He first reached Frisco in 2023, batting .242 in 41 games. In 2024, he hit .234/.285/.369/.654 while his 139 defensive assists ranked 10th among Texas League shortstops. The Maracay, Venezuela native won the 2021 True Ranger Award, given to the Rangers Minor Leaguer who exemplifies the core values of the organization both on and off the field.

WINSTON SANTOS

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 4/15/02 | HEIGHT: 6'0" | WEIGHT: 160

HOMETOWN: PAYITA, DR

Santos, MLB Pipeline’s No 5 Rangers prospect, signed as a Non-Drafted Free Agent on 7/2/2019. After starting 2024 with a 2.80 ERA in 12 starts at High-A Hickory, he was selected to the All-Star Futures Game at Globe Life Field. One day later, he was assigned to Frisco, where he went 5-3 with a 4.89 ERA and 57 strikeouts across 10 starts. The Payita, Dominican Republic native dazzled with a 12-strikeout performance in Game Two of the Texas League Division Series versus Midland. Santos earned First Team All-Spring Breakout honors in 2025, retiring all nine batters in three perfect innings on March 15.

JOSH STEPHAN

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 4/15/02 | HEIGHT: 6'3" | WEIGHT: 185

HOMETOWN: DESOTO, TX

Stephan, MLB Pipeline’s No 22 Rangers prospect, signed as a NonDrafted Free Agent on June 16, 2020, foregoing a commitment to Stephen F Austin He broke out in 2023, earning South Atlantic League All-Star honors and a promotion to Frisco. The DeSoto, Texas native made one start with the RoughRiders before an injury shut him down the rest of the season. In 2024, Stephan posted a 4.94 ERA across 12 games/11 starts before a UCL sprain ended his season. He re-emerged in the Arizona Fall League and was named to the All-AFL Team.

TREY SUPAK

POSITION: RHP | DOB: 5/31/96 | HEIGHT: 6'5" | WEIGHT: 268

HOMETOWN: BRYAN. TX

The Bryan, Texas native signed a Minor League Contract with Texas on March 5, 2025, after going 7-3 with a 4 54 ERA between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa (Cubs). In 2022 and 2023, Supak pitched in the Athletics organization, including 28 games with Double-A Midland. With Double-A Biloxi (Brewers) in 2019, he was named Southern League Pitcher of the Year. Originally a CB-B pick in 2014 by the Pirates, Supak was traded in the 2015 offseason to Milwaukee His uncle, Jody Supak, was an All-American pitcher at Houston in 1987.

ABIMELEC ORTIZ

POSITION: 1B | DOB: 2/22/02 | HEIGHT: 5'10" | WEIGHT: 203

HOMETOWN: BAYAMON, PR

Ortiz, MLB Pipeline’s No. 14 Rangers prospect, was signed as a NonDrafted Free Agent on 7/29/21 out of Florida Southwestern State Junior College. In 2023, Ortiz was the High-A South Atlantic League MVP and Tom Grieve Player of the Year, leading MiLB with a 615 slugging percentage and fourth with 33 home runs. In 2024 with Frisco, he ranked tied for fourth in the Texas League with 18 homers, including 10 in August. The Puerto Rican slugger has clipped 10-plus homers in all four Minor League seasons, amassing 73 total round-trippers.

SEBASTIAN WALCOTT

POSITION: SS | DOB: 3/14/06 | HEIGHT: 6'4" | WEIGHT: 190

HOMETOWN: NASSAU, BAHAMAS

Walcott, MLB Pipeline’s No. 1 Rangers and No. 17 overall prospect, became the youngest player in Rangers franchise history to reach the Double-A level in September 2024. With Frisco, he batted .348 (8-for-23) in five games Before Frisco, he was a South Atlantic League All-Star, leading the league with nine triples. Between Hickory and Frisco, he led the Rangers system with 54 extra-base hits and 34 doubles Baseball America voted him as Texas’ 2024 Minor League Player of the Year, as well as the organization’s Best Power Hitter and Best Infield Arm.

AVERY WEEMS

POSITION: LHP | DOB: 6/6/97 | HEIGHT: 6'2" | WEIGHT: 205

HOMETOWN: FLAGSTAFF, AZ

The 27-year-old lefty was a sixth-round pick by the Chicago White Sox in 2019 out of the University of Arizona. That season, he was named a Short Class-A Pioneer League All-Star with the Great Falls Voyagers. Along with RHP Dane Dunning, Weems was dealt to Texas in exchange for RHP Lance Lynn on 12/8/2020. With Frisco in 2022, he ranked third on the team in strikeouts (107) Weems missed 2023 after undergoing “Tommy John” surgery and was limited to seven appearances, including one start, between Hickory and Round Rock due to a different injury in 2024

AARON ZAVALA

HOMETOWN: KEIZER, OR

The University of Oregon product was a second-round pick by Texas in 2021 – the highest-drafted position player in the Oregon baseball modern era Zavala was the 2021 Pac-12 Player of the Year and a First Team AllAmerican by five media outlets.
