Seth Nordlin

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 9/4/97 | HEIGHT: 6’2” | WEIGHT: 213

HOMETOWN: MESA, AZ

Nordlin was with the RoughRiders for the 2022 Texas League Championship run, going 2-2 with a 3.44 ERA across 30 games with five starts for Frisco. In December of 2022, he was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the Minor League Rule 5 Draft and pitched for the Double-A Wichita Wind Surge. After being released by the Twins on June 5th, he resigned with the Rangers on June 6th and was assigned back to Frisco, entering into the starting rotation.

Triston Polley

HOMETOWN: INDIANAPOLIS, IN

The Indianapolis native stayed near home to play for Indiana State and made the most of his four years with the Sycamores. By his senior year in 2019, Polley was the opening day starter for his home-state team and posted a 2.84 ERA. He was the starting pitcher in ISU’s first NCAA Tournament victory in 24 years. A week later, the Texas Rangers called his name in the 16th round. In the four years since, Polley has gone 16-5 and posted a 4.63 ERA with Frisco when he got called up in June and pitched in 26 games in a RoughRiders uniform.

Keyber Rodriguez

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 10/24/00 | HEIGHT: 5’10” | WEIGHT: 178

HOMETOWN: MARACAY, VENZUELA Rodriguez is in his fifth minor league season, signing with the Rangers out of Venezuela and starting in the Dominican Summer League in 2018. He was called up to Double-A this year after Luisangel Acuña was traded to the Mets organization, and Rodriguez now wears the same #3 jersey that his fellow Venezuelan wore with Frisco. His debuted with the Riders on July 30th and had an RBI triple in his first game.

Chris Seise

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 01/06/99 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 196

HOMETOWN: SCHENECTADY, N.Y.

A first-round pick (No. 29 overall) by Texas in 2017, Seise worked his way up to Double-A to open the 2023 season. Drafted out of West Orange High in Winter Garden, Florida, Seise played in the Arizona Complex League and Low-A Spokane in 2017, Single-A Hickory in 2019, High-A Hickory in 2021 and 2022. He spent part of the offseason in the Caribbean, playing in the Puerto Rican Winter League. He spent 547 innings in the field for Hickory over three seasons, all at shortstop.

Florencio Serrano

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 2/23/00 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 225

HOMETOWN: CORPUS CHRISTI, TX

Originally from Corpus Christi, Tex., Serrano signed with the Rangers in 2019. He spent most of 2023 with High-A Hickory, earned a promotion to Frisco and pitched three shutout innings in his Riders debut on August 5th. He earned the win against Midland in that game, his 50th career professional appearance.

Justin Slaten

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 09/15/97 | HEIGHT: 6’4” | WEIGHT: 222

HOMETOWN: HALLSVILLE, TX

A third-round pick in 2018 by the Rangers, Justin Slaten followed his threeyear career with the University of New Mexico by pitching in three seasons so far with the Rangers. Entering 2023, Slaten has logged 150 innings in the minors, mostly between High-A Hickory and Double-A Frisco. Slaten joined the starting rotation for part of 2022 with the RoughRiders but made most of his 25 appearances out of the bullpen, striking out 64 batters in 50.2 innings on the year.

Kellen Strahm

POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 4/25/97 | HEIGHT: 6’1” | WEIGHT: 215

HOMETOWN: EUGENE, OR

A product of San Jose State, Strahm is playing his fourth season in the Rangers organization after Texas selected him in the fifth round in 2019. He played 104 games last year for the RoughRiders, batting .277 with 26 extra base hits and a career-best 42 runs batted in. Strahm spread his time in the field more evenly last year after playing the bulk of his pro ball in center field his first two seasons. He played almost an equal number of games in left, center, and right. He recorded the final out in left field last year of the Texas League Championship Game, catching a fly ball to leave the tying run at the plate and win the title.

Grant Wolfram

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 12/12/96 | HEIGHT: 6’8” | WEIGHT: 240

HOMETOWN: HAMILTON, MICH.

A southpaw from Davenport University in Michigan, Wolfram was chosen by the Rangers in the 18th round in 2018. Wolfram spent 2019 with Single-A Hickory, waited out 2020, and returned to Hickory in 2021 when the Crawdads had moved up to High-A. He made the jump to Double-A last year and switched to the bullpen, appearing in 39 games. Wolfram has been consistent in his three professional seasons, moving up a level each year and posting an ERA of 4.28, 4.21 and 4.42 in those three years.

Aaron Zavala

POSITION: OUTFIELDER | DOB: 6/24/00 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 193

HOMETOWN: KAISER, OR

The Oregon native showed off his offensive skills at the University of Oregon, setting a program record in on-base percentage (.465) his final year before being drafted in the 2nd round by the Rangers in 2021. Playing in just 22 games during his professional debut last season, Zavala hit .293/.419/.400/.819. To begin 2022, Zavala hit .278/.424/.441/.865 over 81 games with High-A Hickory while leading the South Atlantic League in walks and OBP.
