Part 2: First Year Showcase
The first-year students have spent the year in Authentic Instrument developing their bodies, voices, and theatrical imaginations through training in contact improv, Hothouse voice work, Viewpoints, and the methods of the Attis Theatre. Tonight’s presentation was created from études (short exploratory compositions) developed by the ensemble in response to William Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night, a world inhabited by lovers, monsters, fools, and a woman who dresses up as a man to be near the Duke she loves.
