01 APXRTMENTS High-density multi-family housing is approached with a courtyard-based organizational strategy. While courtyards establish the primary spatial intention, their placement, orientation, and hierarchy are driven by site conditions, guiding how residential bars align, stack, and ultimately form towers. Conceived as a prefabricated system, units are deployed following site analysis and assembled on site, allowing a repeatable kit of parts to produce site-specific density.

Site Application Studies
Unit Circulation X-shaped unit plans generate shared courtyards when four modules aggregate in a 2 x 2 configuration, producing collective open space at their intersection. Through subtle manipulations of this primary massing logic, additional unit types emerge to support a range of occupants and living arrangements. Gaps of six or three feet between modules establish a layered horizontal circulation network, balancing connectivity with moments of separation.
7
Ground Floor Plan The ground level defines the plinth as an urban mediator rather than a mere podium. It consolidates commercial activity and circulation into a continuous base that absorbs the scale of the street, allowing the towers above to emerge in a controlled and non-intrusive manner. By anchoring the vertical volumes to an active ground plane, the project grounds density within a legible and civic framework. The plinth establishes the towers as extensions of an organized urban fabric rather than isolated objects.

02 B3 BIKE SHOP Using the bicycle as a precedent for structural logic and efficient assembly, the project develops a spatial system rooted in precision and calibrated relationships. The final phase involved producing a full construction document set including plans, sections, details, and specifications, requiring coordination of structure, envelope, and material systems. The exercise tested the project’s conceptual clarity against the demands of buildability and documentation.

03 PIVOT HOUSE Beginning with the design of a single room, the project evolves into a house structured around adaptability. Space is not fixed, but responsive — capable of expansion, compression, and reconfiguration through user agency. In this way, architecture becomes an instrument of ritual, shaping how inhabitation unfolds over time.

Mediating Boundaries The house negotiates its relationship with the landscape through a sequence of adjustable edges. A pivoting wall allows the room to shift between enclosure and openness, dissolving the boundary between interior life and the surrounding context. The architecture becomes less a fixed object and more a device for calibrating exposure, privacy, and connection to the environment.

Operable partitions transform the room from an enclosure into a spatial threshold, extending interior life toward the landscape. Transparency and movement allow occupants to control their relationship to light, view, and exterior space.

04 IN-FLOW VILLAGE Housing is reframed as a productive civic system rather than a passive development. Conceived as a mobility hub, the site integrates transit, dwelling, and energy generation within a cohesive spatial strategy. Piezoelectric circulation paths capture kinetic movement, while wind trees and photovoltaic arrays supplement passive environmental performance. The neighborhood functions as infrastructure, transforming daily movement and climate into measurable civic output.
