Paws for a Cause Introducing you to Alleycats & Aristocats along with Cats off the Square

n the heart of Northeast Ohio, a beacon of hope for feline friends emerged in January 2022 - Alleycats & Aristocats. This passionate nonprofit organization has dedicated itself to rescuing and advocating for cats in need, offering adoption services, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, and unique partnerships that extend their impact beyond the shelter walls.

Square, an adoption center nestled at 620 E Smith Rd in Medina, Ohio. Boasting a welcoming atmosphere, this center has become a haven for cats and cat enthusiasts alike. The community has embraced the initiative, with two free-roaming areas providing prospective adopters the chance to interact with the cats and kittens in a natural setting.

Cats off the Square isn’t just about finding forever homes for feline friends; it’s a commitment to the belief that all cats, regardless of their origin, deserve love. The adoption center

Beyond the purrs and playful antics, Alleycats & Aristocats works with organizations that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Among them, I am Boundless is a key partner, sending a group of dedicated volunteers to work with the shelter cats. These remarkable individuals provide essential assistance in cat training, socialization, and overall care. The collaboration not only enriches the lives of the shelter cats but also offers valuable learning experiences for the volunteers. As they engage in daily activities, they gain insights into proper cat care, fostering a sense of responsibility and nurturing skills that extend beyond the shelter environment. For Jennifer Doyle, the organization’s Director, the cause hits close to home. Her 26-year-old son, Logan, who is nonverbal and on the Autism spectrum, actively contributes to the shelter’s mission.
