Showcasing some of Long Beach’s finest art

The Long Beach Art League and West End Arts collaborated to host the second Long Beach Fine Arts Expo on May 4 at the Allegria Hotel ballroom.

The event showcased 21 artists of all different mediums. The art on display included oil paintings, photography, ceramics, fiber arts and watercolor paintings.

“It went really well,” Long Beach Art League President Lissette Rosario Resnick said. “Everybody seemed to be in a really positive mood. We got a lot of positive feedback about the quality of work that was being presented and the variety of it.”

The Long Beach Art League held its first Long Beach Fine Arts Expo last October. With the way this one grew, Resnick said there have been talks to continue to do one each May and October, or have some smaller ones scattered throughout the year.
