Wantagh
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Wantagh Public Library was closed for many months, but recently reopened for browsing (see website for details). Curbside lending and drop-offs are also available. In addition, the library has a full program of virtual classes, story time for children and programs for teens.
In Wantagh, the library pulls out all the stops for Dr. Seuss’s birthday in early March, bringing back retired teachers and librarians to read to local kids.

Seaford
As in Wantagh and most Nassau County libraries, the Seaford Public Library is now open with limited capacity and services (see website).
The library offers a broad range of virtual programs for all age groups, as well as online ordering and curside pick-up and drop-off.
Every March, the library goes mad about tea during its Mad Hatter Tea Party. Children come from all over to drink a spot of tea while sporting wacky hats.
The library offers a free Saturday evening outdoor concert series, an author series, outdoor movies and a comedy night.
