Greetings from the Franklin Square Chamber Historical Time line Franklin and
Iam honored to be elected to serve as president of the Franklin Square Chamber of Commerce, and I am excited to lead our officers and board of directors in our mission to be a great resource for our membership, business community and residents.
I am dedicated to the prosperity of our member businesses. During the last 18 months, I personally visited all of our member restaurants and pizzerias to make sure that they applied for and obtained an outdoor dining permit. I plan to increase our membership (we now have about 176 members). We have a new website, which is exciting news for all our member businesses, www.franklinsquarechamber.com. We also have a Facebook page (@franklin.square.chamber) that is frequently updated. We will act as an information and referral service about Franklin Square and its businesses.
Our chamber works closely with the com-
munity by hosting ribbon-cutting and grandopening ceremonies for new businesses. We also donate two scholarships per year to two local high schools. Each year we recognize one “Businessperson of the Year” at a Legislative Breakfast, we host a “Business Expo," and we have an annual “Getting To Know You and Business Networking Event." As a business owner for 30 years, I have found that consumers believe businesses that are involved in the community, and are memLisa DelliPizzi bers of their local Chamber of Commerce, are trustworthy, connected to the community, listen to their customers and are successful local leaders. Keep your community in business and support your local businesses as often as you can!
