elcome to the class of 2031! As these irresistible kids begin their school journey with hope and excitement, take a look at the next generation who will make their mark on our communities, the nation and the world. This is a magical time to be cherished — and that’s what the K-Kids commemorative section is all about. Enjoy the faces and the enthusiasm of your children as they embark on their school years. These are photos to look back and reflect on for years to come — and share with your kindergarteners when they reach adulthood! The Herald extends a hearty thank you to Valley Stream School District 13, Valley Stream School District 24 and Valley Stream School District 30 for their enthusiastic support and extensive assistance with the project. We wish to acknowledge Dr. Constance D. Evelyn, District 13 Superintendent; Darren Gruen, James A. Dever School Principal; Frank Huplosky, Howell Road School Principal; Rosalie Ambrosio, Willow Road School Principal; Dr. Don Sturz, District 24 Superintendent; Scott J. Comis, Ed.D., Brooklyn Avenue School Principal; Rosario M. Iacono, Robert W. Carbonaro School Principal; Susan Leggett, William L. Buck School Principal; Dr. Nicholas A. Stirling, District 30 Superintendent; John Singleton, Jr., Clear Stream Avenue School Principal; Erin Malone, Forest Road School Principal; Dr. Alejandro Rivera, Shaw Avenue School Principal; and, of course, all of the wonderful teachers and staff who helped us out.
