It’s a great time to be an older adult in Oceanside and Island Park! Join one of the popular senior groups in the communities. The centers have a wide variety of innovative programs for older adults in the community.

Seniors facilities include:

The Oceanside Senior Center, 2900 Rockaway Ave., Oceanside. Coordinator: Toni Santillo at 766-8888. The Oceanside/Island Park Senior Community Service Center, 80 Anchor Ave., Oceanside. Manager: Barbara Magoolaghan. Daily hot lunches are served at the St. Anthony’s School cafeteria Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Freidberg JCC is also available at 15 Neil Court, Oceanside 11572. Director of adult services: Corey Katz 766-4341 The Oceanside Knights of Columbus senior citizens club meets at School No. 6 at 125 Merle Ave., Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m. 678-1492
