Santa Claus is comin’ to the Merricks The Merrick Chamber of Commerce kicked off its annual holiday traditions last weekend. At the Merrick Golf Course Clubhouse on Dec. 2, Santa Claus arrived on a fire truck — made possible by the Merrick Fire Department’s Empire House Company No. 3. There, he met with families, took photos, and ate yummy treats alongside members of the Chamber. Due to rain, the annual Christmas tree and menorah lighting were postponed until Dec. 10.
