Pride of Malverne Marching Band tunes up

The 118 members of the Pride of Malverne High School Marching Band have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming competition season.

The students are not only rehearsing their brand-new field show titled “Bring Us A Dream,” but they are also engaged in daily team-building exercises and other challenges, to help reinforce friendships and camaraderie with their bandmates, some of whom are new to the program.

The season kicks off on Sept. 17 at Brentwood High School and culminates with the New York State Field Band Conference Championships in Syracuse on Oct. 29.
