Carriage rides and more in the Bellmore town The Bellmores rang in the Christmas season at an holiday extravaganza hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores on Dec. 1. There was everything from horse and carriage rides to meet-andgreets with Santa Claus, performances by children’s choirs and of course, a tree lighting. A menorah lighting will take place in the same location on Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. Above, Santa met with Savannah Leonard, 4, of North Bellmore, at the beloved holiday event. Right, the tree next to the Bellmore Long Island Railroad station was lit ahead of the holiday season. Story, more photos, Page 3.
