Discover Your Best Life at the Greenvale Senior Health & Beyond Expo A morning of health, wellness, resources, activities and community connections comes to Tilles Center on Oct. 15. Staying healthy, active and engaged is about more than doctor’s appointments. It’s about having access to the right resources, connecting with trusted professionals and finding opportunities to enjoy life at every stage. That’s the idea behind the Greenvale Senior Health & Beyond Expo, a free community event coming to Tilles Center, 720 Northern Blvd., Greenvale, on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Presented by The Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, the expo will bring together local exhibitors, service providers and experts for an informative and entertaining morning focused on health, wellness and lifestyle. Designed as an all-in-one resource for living your best life, the event gives attendees an opportunity to explore services and information that can help them stay active, informed and connected.
From the moment guests arrive, there will be plenty to see, experience and explore. Attendees can meet trusted local exhibitors and service providers, making it easy to learn about resources available throughout the community. The expo will also offer on-site health screenings, giving guests another opportunity to make their health and wellness a priority. For those looking to add more activity to their routine, the event will feature fitness demonstrations and interactive experiences, along with lively entertainment. A highlight of the expo will be an expert panel discussion followed by a Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from knowledgeable professionals and ask questions about health and wellness topics that matter to them. With a focus extending beyond traditional health care, the event is designed to address the many elements that contribute to an active and fulfilling life — from wellness and fitness to community resources, services and lifestyle opportunities. The Greenvale Senior Health & Beyond Expo is an opportunity to spend the morning connecting with the community and enjoying activities along the way.
Guests can participate in raffle drawings and giveaways, with attendees required to be present to win. There will also be a snack station for all attendees, while boxed lunches provided by Uncle Giuseppe’s will be available to the first 150 attendees. Save the Date! The Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island Dr. Daniel Calnan is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with subspecialty training in minimally invasive endovascular neurosurgery. He also specializes in complex spine and brain operations. He was recruited to The Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island to lead the planned expansion of Neurointerventional Services to Nassau County. The Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island is focused on providing state-of-the-art care for patients with cerebrovascular pathology. As part of its expansion, Dr. Calnan serves as Director of Neurointervention and Co-Director of the Stroke Center at Saint Francis Hospital. In these roles, he is involved in protocol creation, personnel recruitment, clinical trial participation, enhancing patient care and experience, and expanding the center’s capabilities toward becoming a Comprehensive Stroke Center. He is also helping create the first Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Saint Francis Hospital. Dr. Calnan earned a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Stanford University and an M.D. from Tufts University Medical School. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he also completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular neurosurgery, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
