A modern Hewlett Neck expanded ranch

Two primary suites, a chef's kitchen and a waterfall pool headline this $4.26 million Hewlett Neck listing.

T
his gorgeous, six-bedroom home on Dolphin Drive in Hewlett Neck is on the market for $4.259 million, offering 5,200 square feet of interior space and an outdoor area built around an in-ground pool and spa. Built in 2016, the expanded ranch sits on 0.69 acres and has four full bathrooms and one half-bath. The property also includes a two-car attached garage and circular driveway. Monthly property taxes run $3,366, and the home falls within the Hewlett-Woodmere school district.
Walking into a dream A circular staircase greets visitors at the entrance, set beneath soaring, cathedral ceilings in an open layout. The dining room has a 20-foot ceiling, while the living room includes a gas fireplace. Hardwood floors run through the house, and the listing also identifies skylights, recessed lighting and radiantfloor heating among the interior features. A central vacuum system and smart thermostat are also included. An entrance foyer with granite countertop accents opens into the home's main living spaces. Additional interior features include a pantry, built-in storage, a dedicated laundry room and central air conditioning. The house is built of stucco and frame construction, has insulated windows, and is connected to public water and public sewer service. The kitchen is organized around a large center island and breakfast area, and the listing describes it as a chef's kosher kitchen. It is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including two dishwashers, two ovens and two sinks, along with a warming drawer and wine refrigerator, according to the listing. The kitchen connects with the dining, living and family-room areas, and the layout is designed with entertaining in mind.
Flexible bedroom space across two levels Five of the home's six bedrooms are on the first floor, including a primary suite. A second primary suite occupies part of the upper level, where it is joined by an office enclosed with barn doors, a spa bathroom with double vanity and bidet, a playroom and a Trex balcony overlooking the backyard. The first-floor primary suite is paired with its own full bathroom, giving the ground floor a self-contained living arrangement that could suit multigenerational households or guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs, the second primary suite is positioned as a more private retreat, with its office set off behind barn doors and a playroom rounding out the level. Buyers house-hunting for flexible layouts — whether for aging parents, adult children or live-in help — would have the option to use either suite as the primary bedroom depending on their needs.
Pool and covered outdoor space The backyard is one of the property's defining features. The fenced grounds include an in-ground vinyl pool and spa combination with a waterfall, a pool cover, sprinklers front and rear, and privacy landscaping, along with lawn and garden areas. A covered porch provides additional outdoor living space, and the property also has a deck, patio and balcony — plus space set up for an outdoor kitchen. The listing notes the home's proximity to shops, the LIRR and houses of worship. The home is listed by Douglas Elliman Real Estate, with Ronnie B. Gerber as the listing agent. The property entered the market in July 2025 and remains listed at its original $4.259 million asking price, according to current listing records.

Building a career, connecting a community
CAROLYN ARGENTO
F
or 14 years, Crystin Quick built a career in corporate fashion, working for Ralph Lauren and spending much of her career with Saks Fifth Avenue. It was an industry she had wanted to be part of since childhood and after studying marketing in college, fashion seemed like a natural place to build her future. Courtesy Crystin Quick 119 West Blvd, East Rockaway, New Construction. Currently Pending.
Real estate was the backup plan. Then life began to change. After becoming a mother, Quick started thinking differently about what she wanted from her career. In March 2020 she earned her real estate license — just as the pandemic brought much of the world to a halt.
3 things to know about today’s Long Island market 1. The “right time” depends on your life, not just the market:
While working remotely in fashion, Quick used the time to learn as much as she could about real estate, completing training and beginning to build a business. She closed four transactions during her first year, three sales and a rental, even as her longtime career was becoming increasingly uncertain. Eventually, her position in fashion was eliminated. At about the same time, Quick went through a divorce and found herself navigating many of the same housing decisions she would soon be helping clients make. “I basically started over in every aspect of my life,” Quick said. “But really, just pouring myself into my work and real estate is what found a new purpose for me and helped me to get to where I am today.” Finding meaning in a move
Quick said one of the questions she hears most often is whether it is a good time to buy or sell. Her answer depends on the individual. If a home no longer meets your needs, the right move could mean downsizing, relocating or moving from renting into homeownership.
Courtesy Crystin Quick Licensed associate real estate broker Crystin Quick enjoys helping clients find the home that fits their lifestyle.
own or helping sellers reach a deal that allows them to move forward. “I love being able to hand the keys over so that both parties can transition into their next chapter of life,” Quick said.
“I’m very involved even past the transaction,” Quick said. “I’m often involved in helping them find contractors or weigh in on design moves that they’re going to make in their new home.”
Building a life and business in Oceanside
Keeping pace with a changing market
Now a licensed associate real estate broker with Douglas Elliman Real t’s really Estate, Quick works across Nassau and important to Suffolk counties and invest in yourself and Queens, with much of education to be able her business centered to provide the best in Oceanside and service nearby Long Beach.
Quick has lived in Oceanside for nearly four years, where her daughter attends school and is involved in the local soccer program. She said she values the community’s convenience and its proximity to Long Attribution: Her own experiences Beach, where she does Crystin Quick have given her a a significant portion of personal understanding of how her business. much can be wrapped up in the Her fashion background continues decision to move. I
Those transitions also helped Quick recognize something that had been missing from her previous career. “At the end of the day, I was helping to produce clothing,” she said. “I wasn’t helping people.”
“I love being able to help buyers envision what the house could look like for them,” Quick said. On the seller’s side, she often brings in flowers, pillows, blankets and other decor or rearranges a room before a home goes on the market.
Today, the moments that stay with her are often deeply personal ones, whether she is telling buyers that an offer has been accepted on the house they hoped to make their
That relationship can continue after closing, when former clients send photos, ask about paint colors or turn to her for contractor recommendations.
As her business continues to grow, Quick recently reached another major professional milestone, earning her New York State broker’s license and becoming a licensed associate real estate broker with Douglas Elliman. The achievement reflects her commitment to continued education, professional growth and providing an elevated level of knowledge and service to her clients.
2. Buyers are adjusting what they look for: With
higher interest rates and home prices, Quick said some buyers are considering different types of homes, including properties that could accommodate a family member. Others are broadening their searches when their original location no longer fits their budget.
3. Looking farther east can change the options:
Quick said some buyers begin their searches in Nassau County because they want to remain closer to New York City, but eventually move toward the Suffolk border or into Suffolk. There, they may find larger houses, more property or lower property taxes, depending on the community.
“I am a very big proponent of continuing education and continuing to better yourself,” Quick said. “The world, everything is always changing.” For Quick, keeping pace with those changes is part of being able to guide buyers and sellers through a market that looks considerably different from the one she entered in 2020. “I think it’s really important to invest in yourself and education to be able to provide the best service,” she said. — David Arkin
