A modern Hewlett Neck expanded ranch

Ronnie Gerber, licensed real estate salesperson, Douglas Elliman Real Estate

Two primary suites, a chef's kitchen and a waterfall pool headline this $4.26 million Hewlett Neck listing.

By Brandi Calhoun

T

his gorgeous, six-bedroom home on Dolphin Drive in Hewlett Neck is on the market for $4.259 million, offering 5,200 square feet of interior space and an outdoor area built around an in-ground pool and spa. Built in 2016, the expanded ranch sits on 0.69 acres and has four full bathrooms and one half-bath. The property also includes a two-car attached garage and circular driveway. Monthly property taxes run $3,366, and the home falls within the Hewlett-Woodmere school district.

Walking into a dream A circular staircase greets visitors at the entrance, set beneath soaring, cathedral ceilings in an open layout. The dining room has a 20-foot ceiling, while the living room includes a gas fireplace. Hardwood floors run through the house, and the listing also identifies skylights, recessed lighting and radiantfloor heating among the interior features. A central vacuum system and smart thermostat are also included. An entrance foyer with granite countertop accents opens into the home's main living spaces. Additional interior features include a pantry, built-in storage, a dedicated laundry room and central air conditioning. The house is built of stucco and frame construction, has insulated windows, and is connected to public water and public sewer service. The kitchen is organized around a large center island and breakfast area, and the listing describes it as a chef's kosher kitchen. It is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including two dishwashers, two ovens and two sinks, along with a warming drawer and wine refrigerator, according to the listing. The kitchen connects with the dining, living and family-room areas, and the layout is designed with entertaining in mind.

Flexible bedroom space across two levels Five of the home's six bedrooms are on the first floor, including a primary suite. A second primary suite occupies part of the upper level, where it is joined by an office enclosed with barn doors, a spa bathroom with double vanity and bidet, a playroom and a Trex balcony overlooking the backyard. The first-floor primary suite is paired with its own full bathroom, giving the ground floor a self-contained living arrangement that could suit multigenerational households or guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs, the second primary suite is positioned as a more private retreat, with its office set off behind barn doors and a playroom rounding out the level. Buyers house-hunting for flexible layouts — whether for aging parents, adult children or live-in help — would have the option to use either suite as the primary bedroom depending on their needs.

Pool and covered outdoor space The backyard is one of the property's defining features. The fenced grounds include an in-ground vinyl pool and spa combination with a waterfall, a pool cover, sprinklers front and rear, and privacy landscaping, along with lawn and garden areas. A covered porch provides additional outdoor living space, and the property also has a deck, patio and balcony — plus space set up for an outdoor kitchen. The listing notes the home's proximity to shops, the LIRR and houses of worship. The home is listed by Douglas Elliman Real Estate, with Ronnie B. Gerber as the listing agent. The property entered the market in July 2025 and remains listed at its original $4.259 million asking price, according to current listing records.

A real estate career comes full circle

VICTORIA BULKLEY

F

or Victoria Bulkley, returning to residential real estate sales meant getting back to what first drew her to the industry: working directly with people as they make important decisions about where to live. After years of managing brokerage offices and supporting agents through transactions, Bulkley, a licensed associate real estate broker with nearly 25 years of experience, has returned to sales with Douglas Elliman Real Estate. She also recently made Atlantic Beach her fulltime home. “One of the reasons I was drawn to real estate in the first place was the opportunity to work with people and help them navigate the process of finding a home that truly fit their lives,” she said. Bulkley grew up in Manhattan and began her career in finance before moving into real estate with The Corcoran Group. She represented co-ops, condominiums and townhomes throughout New York City and later worked with a developer

brokerage leadership. She managed Houlihan Lawrence’s Bronxville office and later William Raveis’ Darien office. While she valued those leadership roles, she missed working directly with clients.

“I realized I missed being on the front lines with clients and being part of their real estate journey,” she said. “That’s really what drew me back to sales.” Her move to Atlantic Beach also feels like a homecoming. Bulkley has spent summers and weekends along the South Shore since childhood and has family and friends in the area. Her return to sales comes as Nassau County buyers and sellers navigate tight inventory and growing competition for available homes. For buyers facing multiple offers, Bulkley said the highest price doesn’t always determine the winning bid. “It’s about understanding how to position an offer so that it is as strong and competitive as possible,” she said. “Strategy, timing and experience can make all the difference.” For sellers, she said realistic pricing remains important.

Generating strong initial interest can create competition among buyers rather than allowing an overpriced property to linger. For Bulkley, those conversations reinforce why she returned to sales. “What I love most is the relationship you build with clients and being part of their real estate journey from beginning to end,” she said. — David Arkin
