The Sklar-Bodner Family hree-generation family of Hewlett High School alumni wishes the best of luck to this year’s graduates.

Linda May Sklar, a longtime five towns resident, graduated Hewlett High School in 1958. “Everybody was very friendly,” Sklar said about her alma mater.

After being involved in the community for multiple decades, living close by her eldest daughter, Marci Sklar (Bodner), in Woodmere, and watching her children and grandchildren reach milestones at the school district, Linda is “not ready to leave the Five Towns,” she said, “even though it has changed a lot.”

Marci graduated Hewlett High School in 1982, and later married Stuart Bodner, a 1981 Hewlett graduate. The couple has three children — Alison (Smith), class of 2010, Carlee, class of 2014, and Sam, class of 2016 — attending all the graduations and extracurricular activities. was so special,” Alison said. “I even had the same teacher or two as my mom.”

The Guglielmo family ynbrook schools have played a major role in Corey Guglielmo's life.

Her mother, Karen Rosenblum, graduated from LHS in 1963 and went on to raise a family in East Rockaway and work as a travel agent. Corey graduated from Lynbrook in 1990; her older sisters, Jan and Tracy, in 1984 and 1987, respectively.

While attending Lynbrook South Middle School, Corey met her future husband, Joseph Guglielmo, who graduated from LHS in 1991. Their daughter, Felicia, earned her diploma in 2020, and son, Chase, is on track to finish there in 2023.

Felicia is now a junior at Penn State University, studying forensic science.

"I think it's pretty cool," she said. "Especially going back and having school open houses for my kids at the same place I attended when I was a kid and meeting teachers who I had as a kid, but have now formed a different relationship with as an adult. I don't know how to really describe it other than you just feel like you're home."

Corey studied marketing at Hofstra University and worked in auto finance.

She is now a licensed real estate salesperson for Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
