Hundreds of residents and dignitaries crowded Rath Park in Franklin Square on Sunday to pay tribute to the men and women who were killed in the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001. After 16 years, the wounds may have healed for Kerri Kiefer-Viverito, who lost her brother, FDNY fire fighter Michael Kiefer, but she has shared his story with her 6-year-old son Michael who was on hand Sunday to insert roses into divots in a beam recovered from the World Trade Center.
