Ambulatory Care Services 604-278-9711 Services provided at the hospital for people who are well enough to be treated as outpatients including: blood transfusion, intravenous antibiotics, rehabilitation services, cast clinic, hand clinic, dietetic counselling, endoscopy and oncology (chemotherapy) clinic.

Cardiopulmonary & Neurodiagnostic Services 604-244-5124

A variety of tests are offered to help diagnose and treat conditions related to the heart, lungs, muscle and brain. These services can be ordered by your family doctor.

Diabetes Education Centre 604-244-5163

The team, including a RN and a registered dietitian, provides diabetes education training for Type 1, Type 2, Pre-Diabetes, and Gestational Diabetes. Offers assessment, prevention, treatment and support for helping people with diabetes maintain healthy feet. English, Mandarin and Cantonese offered. Farsi-translated program is available for diabetes education component.

Emergency Health Services 604-278-9711

Open 24 hours a day and services are prioritized based on the severity of a patient’s condition upon arrival. Does not answer health questions. For questions about health issues contact a Family Physician or HealthLinkBC at 811. Those experiencing a health emergency should go to the Emergency Department or call an ambulance (dial 911). Cannot give out information about any patients in the department.

Gilwest Clinic 604-244-5118

Provides confidential assessment, counselling and treatment of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.

Intensive Care 604-278-9711

For patients recovering from life-threatening illness or injury who require intensive, around-the-clock monitoring and care.

Outpatient Laboratory 604-244-5295

Blood work and other tests ordered by a doctor can be performed on a walk-in basis at the laboratory.

Medical Imaging Centre 604-244-5109

CT Scan, x-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and diagnostic mammography are among the many tests carried out in the Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre at Richmond Hospital. A doctor’s order is required for all of the tests done in this department.

Noakes Community Maternity Clinic 604-233-3222

Provides support for pregnant women who plan to give birth at Richmond Hospital. Provides care during pregnancy and for up to six weeks after baby is born.

Palliative Care 604-278-3361

Offers support for people living with a terminal illness. Focus is on providing comfort, quality of life and symptom control rather than cure. They work in partnership with you, your family and caregivers to meet your physical, emotional, social and spiritual care needs.

Pediatric Unit 604-233-3222

Cares for children and youth with acute and chronic medical problems, and follow-up care for infants discharged from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They encourage parents to “room in” with their children.
