Off The Vine

LDV Winery, which has a vineyard and estate in the Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona and a tasting room in Old Town Scottsdale, recently announced the release of four new varietals. The first three – 2017 Syrah, 2019 Rhyolite White and 2020 Rosé of Grenache – are awaiting bottling and/ or labeling. The 2019 Sky Island Viognier, recently bottled and labeled, was produced in stainless steel tanks to preserve the unique fruit characteristics of the Chiricahua Mountaingrown fruit. The wine offers citrus, apricot and mineral notes with a clean finish and pleasing acidity. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as with salads, poultry and seafood or Asian and Indian dishes. www. ldvwinery.com.
