Casey and Teresa Strunk

President & VP of New Business Development & Marketing, The Strunk Insurance Group

When Casey and Teresa Strunk purchased the family business, The Strunk Insurance Group (SIG), from Casey’s father Greg in 2018, they knew that together, they could accomplish great things.

“My father never wanted to sell the agency, but wanted it to be a multigenerational business where his brand could live on,” says Casey, who’d started in an entrylevel position at SIG after college and worked his way to the top. “I’m thrilled with the choice I’ve made. Employee benefits is what we do, but our ‘why’ is our people.”

“Our team feels more like an extended family than simply coworkers,” Teresa adds. As the firm’s marketing maestro, she’s worked to create a brand new website and completely refresh the company’s branding. And with the firm recently celebrating 40 years in business, the couple, who met through a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation campaign in 2011, make sure they’re constantly giving back to the community they call home.

At the end of the day, the Strunks have made it their mission to model kindness, independence, and a strong work ethic, not just in their professional lives, but for their two daughters. To them, it all comes down to maintaining meaningful relationships with their team, their clients, their children, and each other.

“Casey inspires me daily. He has grown to be the most thoughtful leader I know,” Teresa says. “I’m particularly impressed with his people-management approach – his team respects him and vice versa. He motivates me to be better every day, to always be the best version of myself.”

And for Casey, the feeling is mutual. “Teresa has had a great career in advertising sales, and has all the people skills I do not. She’s a leader in the community and passionate about doing the right thing, no matter the circumstances. Working together and sharing common goals has energized me and kept us focused on becoming a better business each and every day.”
