Equestrian Molly Schwanz’s versatile style supports her busy schedule

Scottsdale native Molly Schwanz knows a thing or two about style and poise thanks to her time spent as a former Miss Arizona Teen USA in 2020.
The decorated equestrian and Arizona State University senior prefers a simple, classic look that supports her busy schedule at school, the office, the horse barn and working with her nonprofit Kindles for Kids.
“I enjoy anything from a stylish dress and different textures to jeans, sequins and always a bodysuit. And shoes… I love my shoes!” Schwanz says.
Because she splits her time outside of school as the meeting coordinator for EPIC International and as an avid horseback rider, Schwanz’s style has to be versatile.
“I am fortunate to be in an office atmosphere where I can carry my classroom style to my job by adding a subtle sweater or jacket over leggings and simple top,” she says. “The equestrian style influences my basic foundation which I build on and some of my favorite equestrian brands include Freedman riding pants, Carrots, and Ariat.”
Schwanz prefers neutral tones and clean lines, but her most treasured outfit remains the custom couture Sherri Hill dress that she wore at Miss Teen USA.
How does travel infleunce your style?
I am fortunate to travel for my job and was in Greece this past summer. From soft flowing dresses and beautiful color palettes to the neutral, elegant clean lines of linens. It inspired me to add a few colors and pieces into my mostly neutral palette.
What are your favorite brands? Alo Yoga and Lululemon for athleisure wear – their materials wash and wear well over time. Agolde and Mother jeans are my go-to brands for denim. The fit, cut and stretch of their fabrics suit my body type well.
Is there anyone who inspires your style? Hailey Bieber, Sofia Riche, Stephanie Abu-Sbeih, and Camila Coelho. They all have very minimalist styles with neutral tones, but also use a lot of basic pieces with many different outfits.
