Most design trends are rooted in an emotion—a creative response to the cultural mood. This season, Platinum’s collection is inspired by the craving of the comforts of home that still feels like a getaway. “Guesthouse” is a collection of pattern, color and texture that has us wanting to curl up by the fire for a long weekend with a favorite book.

There is indeed something stirring in all of us that has us seeking a well-appointed “quiet corner.” One example? The prevalence of editorial stories celebrating the English “snug”: a small separate space designed for privacy. Layers of pattern in traditional applications like printed drapery, canopied beds & wallcoverings are hallmarks of this trend. The warmth of a good library of books, wood accents and vintage pieces support the overall language of traditional décor that still feels personal. Home. But better.

Historically inspired prints, classic soft checks and vintage stripes channel a casual rustic elegance. Delicate floral embroideries, reminiscent of woodblock prints, add thoughtful detail. Rosy reds, delft blues and creamy neutrals ground us in a classic palette with an understated vibrance. Mostly, we enjoy the reminder that restful rooms don’t need to be plain to make us want to linger.

Antique Inspiration

The new print Anisette was developed from an antique floral chintz fragment. Our moody palette adds a touch of gothic drama, offering a fresh contrast to the cleaner palettes of its predecessors. The print’s textured basecloth brings serious textural credibility, making it feel both rich and refined. Available in 5 colors.

Platinum Spring 2025

Timeless Textures

Platinum makes room for two new elegant workhorses this season: Linette and Wooly. These versatile staples feature a multipurpose weight and a serene palette, with extensive color lines designed to suit every application under one roof.

London Fog

To find inspiration for this season’s color stories, Platinum looked to rustic retreats in the English countryside and elevated rooms with cozy patterns and wood accents. We channeled the feeling of gazing out at a landscape on a rainy morning just beginning to clear. The result is the “London Fog” palette, featuring beryl greens, rusts, and overcast blues.

Platinum Spring 2025 Layer Up

Inspired by thoughtful rooms layered with texture, Platinum sought out a best-in-class assortment of cottonrich accent “mini” coordinates. Softly tailored and simply constructed, these textiles serve as the building blocks of the casually refined rooms we crave.

In Detail

One sure-fire way to add warmth to a room is through hand-crafted details. While we’d all love to be surrounded by couture and one-of-a-kind pieces, that’s not always practical. This season, we drew inspiration from antique textiles and artwork featuring dimensional detail. The result is a new collection of prints and wovens with deceptively rich surfaces, achieved through interpretive prints and novelty yarns.

Full Statement

Dynamic abstraction and masterful geometry serve as the foundation for powerful prints. Tess and Everett are two watercolor beauties that stand on their own, acting as fine art within the room.

Sitting Pretty

Early garden greens and watery blues define our “Veranda” palette this season. Featuring linen Jacobeans, classic lattice embroideries, and a meandering mini leaf print, Guesthouse hits the high, sweet notes in the language of classic decor.
