Anthology
This season, Platinum offers a collection of textiles inspired by historic patterns, authentic details, and textural richness which together represent an homage to interiors that stand the test of time. Foundational pieces like tweedy herringbones, heritage plaids and linen Jacobean prints layer together to create rooms with an abiding sense of style that never gets old.
If there is a defining mood underscoring our present drift to history, here it is a sense of weighty solidity. Our palettes include bark browns, earth tones and root vegetable shades which feel grounding and unshakable. Yellows veer to brass: more metal than petal. Linen, oatmeal, and flax signal heirloom longevity and enduring antiques. In our mind’s eye all these colors and details seem to coalesce around the idea of a long-ago library with leather finishes, wood paneling and cozy textiles. The Anthology Collection is an invitation to surround yourself with the reassuring warmth of a treasury of best-loved stories and updated classics designed for today.

True Blues
Whether it was derived from highly valued stones like lapis and turquoise, or from plants like woad and later indigo, blue has been cultivated for decorative purposes from the earliest days of civilization. Its earthly origins, combined with its evocation of air and water, make blue an easy choice for interiors rooted in nature and history. This season, Platinum layers it on in shades from cerulean to navy and everything in between. Our pattern Atsuko, featured here, is inspired by classic Indonesian batiks and sets the stage perfectly for this classic color story.

Princely Plaids
For as long as looms have existed, there have been weavers looking for new and inventive ways to create plaids. For a designer, plaids are an ideal medium for the expression of an infinite variety of textures, line and color. Our yarn dyed stripes and plaids this season showcase beautiful tonal variation and a variety of scales for multiple end-use applications from drapery to upholstery. Classic red, blue and green colorations serve as great building blocks in rooms with traditional influences from lake house to living room.

Surface Impact
Platinum’s statement jacquard Colossal features a super-chunky boucle and graphic modern pattern that feels timeless and new at the same time. Reminiscent of modernist sculpture and abstract painting, Colossal is available in three earthy bold colorations: Black, Midnight and Tobacco.

Reading Room
Our new richly detailed Jacobean floral, Haselhurst in Spruce is a decadent backdrop for the “Library” color story this season. Here, we love layering this pattern and color story with wood tones, gilded details, and rich red accents to conjure the historic mood which inspired the collection. Atsuko Madder and Gaia Spruce (inspired by marbled paper) complete the look. Photographed in a historic Brooklyn brownstone and showing that the past is truly evergreen.

Elevated Textures
This season Platinum offers a variety of textures with a little bit of “extra.” From mini-windowpane checks (Raoul) to dobby diamonds (Felipa) and heathered herringbones (Dursey), we are offering a palette of thoughtful detail and variety. From Ondine (a brushed linen blend) to Ergo (a chunky luxe hobnail) this assortment of over 30 new SKUs brings “basics” front and center.

Au Pear
Something about the sweet pear satisfied our craving for inspiring natural color this season. Our “Revival” color story, pictured here, features soft golden greens, honey, and understated melon tones. Soft without too much sweet, we love the floral top-notes in this fresh family of color. Available in a variety of patterns from modern and graphic to floral and understated.

Timeless Toile
An archival floral engraving inspired this season’s Gallant print. Finely detailed lines describing a wild spray of lush blooms is just the throwback we are looking for in a toile for today. A sophisticated toneon-tone coloration and a botanical focus keeps the look moody and antique. Printed on our signature cozy linen blended ground and available in three colorways.
The Fine Print
From 17th century Provençal prints to Japanese kimonos of the same period, as well as traditional English and American calicos, textile history is rich with small scale print traditions. Today, small-printed designs are beloved (in apparel as well as home textiles) for their full coverage and lively repeating rhythm. The simplicity of a single repeating motif can be a grounding element in a larger scheme or an understated accent all on its own. This season, Platinum’s mix gives the mini its due, with a variety of cotton and linen blends worthy of closer study.

Beautifully Bold
An organic statement jacquard features a rich mélange of space dyed yarns and a graphic pattern that is part animal skin part wood grain. Ruggy and wild, Poblano is available in four colorways ranging from neutral to bold: Saddle, Sky, Surf, and Carnival (pictured).
