State residents & visitors alike are able to enjoy free fi shing, free admission to state parks & trails, & free ATV riding on public trails. ◆ June 8-August 3 (Thursday Evenings): Free Summer “Concerts in the Park” Series. On the banks of the Mississippi River at Lawler Park’s South Gazebo, Prairie du Chien, from 6:30-8pm. Bring your lawn chair or blanket & snacks. Villa Louis Historic Site offers a walking & building tour through the site of the old Main Village of Prairie du Chien. The tour will begin in the Brisbois Fur Warehouse & then continue with a walk on the grounds where these people lived & many events important to the history of Wisconsin happened. Visitors will see the sites & hear these peoples’ stories. Advanced registration required. The tour starts at 10:30am & lasts approximately 90 minutes & requires walking on uneven ground.
