Self-Guided Historic District Walking Tour A self-guided walking tour will delight history buffs as well as those who enjoy architecture or just a stroll down quiet tree -lined streets. Evansville’s four historic districts include the second oldest nationally designated district in the state. The walking tours focus on homes and businesses primarily near the downtown area. Follow maps in the free Walker’s Guide tour book.
