Gold for young kick-boxers

A Horfield and Filton-based team of kick boxers, aged 8-15yrs, has struck gold at a prestigious European tournament. Team Bristol travelled to Athens with their coach Sharon Gill to compete against the best in the Continent.

There were more than 30 different countries represented with around 1,800 competitors.

There were teams from Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Croatia, Turkey and Team Bristol came back with an amazing haul of medals and trophies, including 4 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze. Gold medals were achieved by Marco Casali (x3) and Joshua Roe- French, who are now the new Athens European Cup Champions.

Training is every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at the GB Fit Gym, at Unit 3B, Merton Road, Horfield, BS7 8TL. Newcomers are always welcome.
