Constable Gareth Pretlove said: "If the property targeted is not yours, it is criminal damage and we would certainly act if we were made aware of it or if we caught individuals in the act."

He said officers were not currently aware of intelligence linking graffiti to known drug dealers but he would be speaking to Mr Robins about the matter. He added that a challenge for officers is that the individuals involved tended to be very quick, carrying out the graffiti painting in a matter of seconds.
