Lingualized Occlusion
from MDSG Brochure 2022
by Richie Leung
Lingualized occlusion technique reduces lateral excursion loading and minimizes off axis stress to the underlying bone, which has been shown by studies to increase the masticatory efficiency in patients. The technique can be used in resorbed ridges, implant supported overdentures and combination dentures.
• Only centric contact with maxillary palatal to central fossa • Mandibular teeth with shallow cusps • No maxillary buccal cusps contact in centric and lateral excursion
