New Yate factory for uniform company brings jobs boost A COMPANY that designs and manufactures protective clothing for firefighters and other emergency services is expanding its workforce and taking on new premises in Yate. Bristol Uniforms already has an international distribution centre on the Stover Trading
Estate. Now it will have 30 staff in 40,000 sq ft premises in Waverley Road on the Beeches Industrial Estate. The firm is also recruiting new workers, particularly skilled sewing machinists. The extra facilities are needed due to a significant business expansion,
with increased demand from home and abroad for its highly specialised products. Bristol Uniforms currently supplies fire and rescue services around the UK and in more than 110 other countries with its protective gear. Full story page 3
