Preschool concerns
YATE and Chipping Sodbury are set for two months of festivals, street parties and shows. May and June will see the return of major events in the lives of the town which have been cancelled or paired back through two years of lockdown, combined with extra celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Things will kick off with Good Times on the Pitch, four days of outdoor entertainment on a festival stage at Yate Town Football Club at the end
of May. Platinum Jubilee events including a special return for the Chipping Sodbury Big Lunch will take place over the first weekend of June, followed by the Chipping Sodbury Festival in the middle of the month, which will include the town's carnival. June will then finish with the return of the Yate Rocks free festival in Kingsgate Park. Full story: Pages 3, 7 and 11
