Satisfaction rates rocket as Merlin tackles bad behaviour HOUSING society Merlin has seen a huge increase in satisfaction with the way it deals with anti-social behaviour complaints - up from only a third to 100 per cent in the space of just a year. The association, based in Chipping Sodbury, realised it had to do better and acted on feedback from tenants, which
resulted in the satisfaction rate rocketing. Merlin said it was committed to tackling anti-socal behaviour and working with all sides to find a solution. But there were times when no amicable agreement could be reached and action had to be taken against tenants who caused problems.
Merlin said: “We recently evicted one tenant in Yate after they assaulted one of their neighbours and made threats to kill another one. “We’d been working with the police and other partners to try and resolve the situation but they refused to engage with us and so we had to end their tenancy.” See page 13 for details.
