May 4, 2026 Medium Grain Update Riceland Members, In December 2025, Riceland announced that the cooperative would not take medium grain variety 3202 due to it not being approved by a major industrial user. The Riceland Team recently received an update from the industrial user, who has approved additional mediumgrain varieties. Those additional medium grain varieties include: • CLM05 • Taurus The other current industrial-approved varieties are Jupiter, Titan, and CLM04. Riceland does not guarantee these varieties, and we understand members must evaluate what works best agronomically on your farms. But we encourage Riceland medium grain growers to plant these varieties for the reasons stated above. Medium grain signed up for the seasonal pool in 2026 will require documentation certifying seed purchased and a USDA Form 578, and it will be subject to post-harvest genetic testing.
