OFFICIAL PRODUCTS THAT COMPRISE THE PROGRAM:
A New Canadian Gaming Summit Over the past decade the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) has established itself as a leading voice of the Canadian gaming industry, serving as an advocate and champion for the industry and delivering high quality, high value networking, information and educational events to the industry. Our premier event each year is the Canadian Gaming Summit, a conference and exhibition developed by the industry for the industry. Summit development has been driven from the beginning by dialogue with delegates, sponsors and exhibitors, many of who are CGA members, about what we can do better to deliver the highest quality event for the best value. Our intention has always been to improve the depth and quality of the information and education experience offered. Over the past two years it has become abundantly clear that while everyone is of the opinion that the Summit serves a vital role in bringing our industry together and wants it to grow and prosper: • Technology and customer awareness of and familiarity with products and services has changed the nature of trade shows from the perspective of how exhibitors engage and interact with their customers; • Crown agencies want a greater emphasis on the educational programs, including ways to innovate and unique research; and • There are frequent touch points between larger manufacturer/suppliers of electronic gaming devices and systems and their crown agency customers to demonstrate products and services. Recognizing this, the Summit is modernizing and evolving in two key ways: 1. A larger emphasis on information and education content, including highprofile keynote speakers and sponsored research; and 2. A diminished need for trade show floor presence by larger manufacturer/ suppliers. Consequently, the trade floor component of the Summit has been rethought and re-configured to recognize this while at the same time continuing to offer presence and value to mid-size and smaller suppliers that do not have the resources and opportunity to meet with the crown agency customers throughout the year. The goal is to provide significantly enhanced information and education content, more time and flexibility for the crown agency delegates to attend educational sessions and various networking events and pavilions on the trade floor, and increased opportunities for mid-size and smaller exhibitors to interact with their customers. Trade floor options for the larger manufacturers include smaller booths with little/no equipment display that could host meetings and virtual presentations and/or a “theatre” style component on the trade floor that suppliers could make scheduled and promoted public or “by invitation only” presentations. This new approach creates significant cost savings a portion of which will be directed towards creating the enhanced information and education content that customers are seeking. You have spoken and we have listened – in 2016 we launch an integrated package of membership, sponsorship and marketing opportunities that will invest in enhanced educational programs, with a more cost effective and dynamic exhibit floor. As our industry continues to grow and evolve the Canadian Gaming Summit will set a new standard for large industry information, education and networking events. Sincerely, Bill Rutsey President & CEO, Canadian Gaming Association Chair, Canadian Gaming Summit
The 2016 Canadian Gaming Industry Integrated Sponsorship and Marketing Programs Welcome to the most comprehensive program ever developed for gaming industry product and service vendors interested in reaching Canadian gaming industry professionals. This integrated program was specifically developed for Canada with a focus on continuous and strategic vendor exposure throughout the entire year. Background: There is no doubt that many aspects of marketing have changed, especially over the past several years. Trade shows and conferences have been forced to change their overall format and purpose, print trade magazines have been affected by electronic and social media and taking products to market is now as simple as clicking a mouse. Beyond the significant changes to events and media products, marketing budgets have also been closely reviewed and in some cases even scrutinized in order to justify marketing programs and costs for optimal ROI. Beyond all of these factors and with specific reference to the gaming industry, significant consolidation has occurred and the bottom line is more than important than ever from a shareholder perspective. The Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) together with its partner MediaEdge Communications has taken a proactive approach to address this. The outcome is a series of integrated programs combining CGA membership, Canadian Gaming Summit participation and ongoing media marketing that will work effectively for any sized gaming vendor. This annual program includes vendor exposure inside items such as the Canadian Gaming Summit, Canadian Gaming Business print magazine, Canadian Gaming Business e-newsletter, Canadian Gaming Business website, the CGA@G2E Annual Canadian Gaming Reception and much more. Please note that the sponsor levels inside this prospectus were developed in order to make it possible for each sponsor supporter to receive a year-long, strategic, costeffective and easy to implement marketing program for Canada. We recognize through years of experience that many organizations struggle with developing a year-long marketing program for a particular jurisdiction and what we have created will eliminate that challenge. Please also note that there is some flexibility in what you are about to review under each category, the details of which we can address when we collectively review that various sponsor packages and negotiate the individual items. We are very much looking forward to your opinions of this integrated marketing program and to your participation. We are confident that you will find what has been developed to be comprehensive, creative, strategic, affordable and most importantly effective.
