ANNUAL CLUB CLOSURE DETAILS Bradenton Country Club will undergo a scheduled maintenance period beginning Monday, July 27 through Monday, August 17, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday, August 18. During this time, several areas of the Club will operate on modified schedules while important improvements and course maintenance are completed. Administration Office: The Administration Office will be available Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM should you need assistance or have any questions. Golf Operations: The golf course, driving range, and all practice facilities will be closed for the full three-week period. The Golf Shop will remain open Tuesday through Sunday until 12:00 PM. Members are encouraged to take advantage of our Reciprocal Club Program during this time. Dining: The Club restaurant will be closed for the duration of the maintenance period, including both dine-in and takeout service. Racquet Center: The Racquet Center will remain open and continue normal operations, along with its regular daily maintenance schedule.

ANNUAL CLUB CLOSURE DETAILS CONT. Pool & Fitness Center: The pool will remain open; however, it will operate as swim-at-your-own-risk with no lifeguard on duty. The Palm Café will be closed during this time. The Fitness Center will remain open for member use. In addition to the 3-week closure, please note that Bradenton Country Club will also be fully closed on the following dates for additional course maintenance operations: Tuesday, June 2 Tuesday, September 15 On these dates, all Club operations and amenities will be closed for the day with the exception of Junior Tennis Camps.

LETTER FROM THE CLUB MANAGER Dear Members, As we begin our annual Club closure, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for another wonderful season. While the Club may be quieter over the next few weeks, our team will be hard at work completing several improvement projects throughout the property so that everything is refreshed and ready for your return. We look forward to welcoming everyone back and sharing the results of these enhancements upon reopening. I would also like to extend a very special congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Kathy Mahanna, who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, July 22nd. Kathy has been an integral part of the Bradenton Country Club family for 31 years, and her dedication, warmth, and commitment to our members have made a lasting impact on our Club. Please join me in wishing her a very happy birthday and thanking her for her many years of outstanding service. On the golf course, our greens will be receiving a wet-ject treatment this summer rather than the traditional aerification process. This approach provides many of the same agronomic benefits while allowing for significantly faster recovery times and improved playing conditions. We are excited to utilize this method and know our golfers will appreciate the excellent conditions it helps maintain. For those continuing to use the Fitness Center during the closure, Kenroy will keep the fitness gate open for member access whenever possible. If the gate happens to be closed on a particular day, members can still enter the Fitness Center through the horseshoe entrance. Thank you for your continued support of Bradenton Country Club. We appreciate your patience as we complete these projects and enhancements, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back very soon for another great season. LETTER FROM GOLF DEPARTMENT Members, As most of you probably know, our Director of Golf, Nick Campbell, has decided to leave the golf business and BCC. We are sad to see time go! He will be here until almost the end of August, and we will stay in touch. We thank him for his dedication and many contributions to the club and our golf operation! As we move forward, our team will have the goal of continuous improvement and helping to produce the best golf experience possible! To this end, we have been surveying the membership about events and merchandise preferences and will use this feedback to improve the coming season. A few notes: Cold Face Towels: We have begun our Cold Face Towel program. This involves the placement of two clear-front refrigerators - one in the Player Amenity Area by the Golf Shop and one at Morand House - to house cold towels for use to cool down during your round. We ask that you use the towels and place them in the bins under/near the refrigerators when done. These towels should make your summer rounds a bit more enjoyable! Finalizing Club Calendar: We are still working on finalizing the Club Events Calendar and should have it finished this month. Ship Sticks: For those members traveling remember that we are available to help with any Ship Sticks shipping of clubs to or from the club. We have boxes and are more than happy to help!

LETTER FROM GOLF DEPARTMENT Club Repair: This is a good time of year to take stock of your grips and let us know if you need any re-gripped or repaired during this slow time. We have a large selection of grips - and are able to order any kind you would like - even if not in our current stock. Regrips can usually be done in just a few days. Golf Shop: Our main clothing vendors for Men this year will be Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne and FootJoy. Ladies main lines will include Belyn Key, IBKUL and a few others. We also have a few cool new accessory lines - Spartina & OTG247! Thank you to all the ladies who responded to our survey. Event Committee Volunteers: We are looking for members to volunteer to be on the committees for our larger events and couples events. Please e-mail jburbee@bradentoncc.org if you are interested in having an impact on events! This will include formats, purses, etc., and themes for couples events. Sean, Tyler, Paul and the entire team are very excited about the upcoming season and will do our best to make it great! Please reach out if you have any thoughts or suggestions. AGRONOMY UPDATE Dear Members, Well, I think we all knew how this was going to play out! You spend the better part of 6 weeks begging for rain that doesn’t come and then the faucet opens and you get all the rain you want and then some! Month to date for July puts us just under 9” of total rainfall! We certainly needed the water, but the fact that nearly 8 ½ ” of the 9” total has fallen since 7/15 is a little extreme. That being said, the course has handled it extremely well and with all of our ponds and streams filled up and flowing we are starting to look like our normal course. On Monday we began our 3 week closure which will take us up until Tuesday 9/18. Other than some slight weather delays, our cultural practices are in full swing. We were able to successfully complete our 5/8” solid tine greens aeration on the 27th and 28th along with a full topdressing. The solid tine allows us to work sand into the greens profile without pulling a “plug” or a “core” that needs to be removed. The result is a firmer greens surface without the many days (or weeks) process of healing that results from a core-pulling operation. I am very pleased with how that operation was completed. The more exciting news from a cultural practice standpoint is that we will be using a specialized process called “WetJect”. This is a tractor-mounted machine which injects sand 3-4” deep into the greens without pulling a core! This will happen twice during our closure and will allow us to again get more sand into the top 3-4” of the profile WITHOUT removing a core. We had a demonstration of this machine on the Thursday before we closed. We did the North half of the putting green right outside the golf shop and I think most people were suitably impressed by how puttable the greens were even the same day the process took place. I do wish to stress however that this is not a straight swap for traditional core aerification practices. We base our decision on whether or not to aerify greens on twice-yearly soil and organic matter testing. So while this may not eliminate core aerification entirely, it should allow us to either aerify less frequently or perhaps use smaller tines which greatly decreases the healing time required. And all of this is done with the goal of providing the very best putting surfaces possible for the maximum number of days possible. All very exciting things!! Also during the next 3 weeks, we will be aerifying and verticutting tees, fairways and approaches. We will also begin topdressing fairways on Monday 8/10. We have already begun the process of lowering our mowing heights in order to “scalp” the grain out of our short grass areas. You will notice a big difference when we open back up! We also have our supplemental irrigation system upgrades happening as we speak. For those of you just hearing about this for the first time, we are adding nearly 100 sprinkler heads around the golf course! These heads will be placed in strategic areas that were either not getting enough water or in some cases no water at all! Again, this will be a hugely noticeable benefit to the turf here at BCC. I know that 3 weeks seems like a long time to be closed, but it will be over before you know it. I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire membership for providing our team with this opportunity to be closed for maintenance. This 3 week closure provides us the time to do all the necessary practices that ensure that we have outstanding conditions all season long. Kindest Regards, Steve Gregg

RACQUET SPORTS UPDATE Members, As the summer season heads toward a close, I want to extend a sincere thank-you to all of our dedicated members who braved the heat with us on the courts all summer long! The men really showed up for mixed league, and our weekly clinics maintained fantastic numbers throughout the hottest months of the year. Summer Camp Highlights: Our Summer Junior Camp wrapped up 9 incredible weeks of learning, fun, and skillbuilding! It was awesome watching the kids build confidence and develop a true passion for the game. Tennis is a sport for life, and I hope to see all of our young players keep their racquets swinging into the new school year. Looking Ahead to Fall: As we look forward to the fall, we have an exciting lineup of events and programming in the works. I am currently finalizing the schedule to make sure we have the best possible dates lined up for everyone, so stay tuned for the full event calendar coming very soon!
