LETTER FROM THE CLUB MANAGER As we turn the page into a new year, I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the holiday season at Bradenton Country Club so special. Our Club looked wonderfully festive, and I am especially grateful to the House Committee and the members who volunteered their time and talent to decorate so beautifully. Your efforts truly brought the spirit of the season to life.

I would also like to thank all of you for your incredible participation in our holiday events. It has been a joy to see the Club filled with friends, families, laughter, and energy throughout December. Your continued engagement is what makes this community so vibrant and welcoming.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our team, we’re thrilled to welcome and celebrate the following team members stepping into new roles. Each brings unique talents, experience, and enthusiasm to the Club, and we’re confident they’ll make a lasting impact in their positions. Please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

Tyler Carlson

We are pleased to introduce Tyler Carlson, who has joined Bradenton Country Club as a Assistant Golf Pro with our golf operations team. Having grown up in the Bradenton area, Tyler has always known Bradenton Country Club as a high-caliber golf club, and joining a successful, growing golf operation felt like a natural fit for him. He also brings a strong golf background with him as well.

Tyler attended Lynn University before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University, where he completed his degree and competed on the golf teams at both schools. He is a Certified Junior PGA Coach and is currently enrolled in Level 2 of the PGA Professional Program.

After spending time in the Midwest, Tyler was excited to return closer to family—and to Florida summers over Midwest winters. He’s been playing golf for over 20 years and continues to learn something new from the game every day. Outside of the club, Tyler enjoys fishing, cheering on the Los Angeles Chargers, and spending time with his chocolate lab, Remi.

Tyler is excited to connect with the members and work alongside the golf staff to help make every experience at Bradenton Country Club exceptional!

Jeff Otterbein is an experienced Director of Tennis and Head Professional with a long track record of developing successful programs and delivering high-quality instruction to players of all ages. Jeff is returning to Bradenton Country Club, where he previously taught in the after-school junior clinics, ran the summer junior camp, and provided adult private lessons and group clinics, helping strengthen the club’s tennis community.

Jeff Otterbein

Most recently, Jeff served as Director of Tennis at Cedars East Tennis Resort & Club on Longboat Key, overseeing all tennis operations, membership development, staff management, and maintenance of eight Har-Tru courts. Prior to that, he was the Tennis Director at Sarasota Sports Club, where he managed 19 Har-Tru courts and directed a full team of professionals.

Earlier in his career, Jeff led the South Coast Tennis Academy in Massachusetts, expanding the junior academy from 35 to more than 100 players, and he also served at the Acoaxet Club as Assistant Tennis Professional and Director of Junior Tennis.

Jeff brings a professional, approachable, and energetic teaching style to the court, along with a proven ability to build strong tennis communities.

Cam Wolfe

We are pleased to introduce Cam Wolfe, who has joined Bradenton Country Club as a Seasonal Assistant with our golf operations team. Cam brings a strong background in golf operations and tournament support, along with a genuine passion for the game and continued professional growth within the PGA. Cam most recently worked with the American Junior Golf Association as a Tournament Assistant and has held assistant professional roles at The Medallion Club and Heritage Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio. He holds a Business Administration degree from Flagler College, is currently in Level 2 of PGA School, and is both TrackMan Certified and PGA HOPE Certified.

Originally from St. Petersburg, Cam is happy to be back in Florida and has already enjoyed getting to know our course and members. He has been playing golf for 16 years and is excited to learn, grow, and contribute wherever needed. In his free time, you’ll find him at the beach, on the golf course, or cheering on the Buccaneers, Florida State Seminoles, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

We’re happy to welcome back Jack Steyn, our Seasonal Tennis Pro here at Bradenton Country Club!

Jack is the former Director of Racquet Sports at Bradenton County Club, where he dedicated 17 years of exceptional service to our club.

Currently serving as The Director of Racquets Sports at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley for the summer months, he divides his time between North Carolina and Florida.

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR OF GOLF Happy New Year, Bradenton Country Club!

I hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday season and were able to enjoy time together, recharge, and celebrate. As we turn the page into January, I want to start by saying thank you. The membership’s support of our golf operation this fall was tremendous—rounds of golf, tournament participation, and the support of merchandise in the Golf Shop all increased compared to the prior year. That kind of momentum is a direct reflection of an engaged membership, and we’re grateful for it.

Looking ahead, 2026 is going to be a great year at BCC. We’re excited to continue carrying out our annual calendar of events that balance competitive golf with the social side of the Club that makes Bradenton so special. Whether you love the big events, smaller one-day games, or simply getting out with friends for a great walk or ride, we’re looking forward to an exciting new year of both social and competitive events to round out the season.

A Quick Note on Golf Course Etiquette & Turf Care: As we head into the heart of the season—and with the course already battling drought conditions —I’m asking for everyone’s continued support in helping us protect the golf course and keep conditions strong.

Private Carts: Please follow the gates and traffic patterns throughout the property. Just like our fleet carts, private carts are expected to follow the designated routes to help manage wear and protect key turf areas.

Walkers: Walkers must take a bottle of sand with them. Bottles are available for purchase in the Golf Shop, and you’re also welcome to use the bottles located along the side of the cart barn. The bottle station near the Morand House is available so members can swap out bottles as needed.

Cart Path Parking Near Tees & Greens: When parking near a tee or green, all four wheels must be on the cart path. One of the most damaging habits we see is repeatedly pulling up near greens and stepping off with two wheels on the grass. It doesn’t create a meaningfully shorter walk, but it does cause significant wear in the same greenside areas—areas that are already vulnerable. With the course fighting dry conditions, we don’t want to give the turf any additional reason to weaken around our green complexes.

Thank you in advance for being mindful—these small habits make a big difference over time.

AGRONOMY UPDATE Dear Members, On behalf of the Bradenton Country Club Green’s team, we hope everyone had a great holiday season. As we get into January, we anticipate an increase of golf play, and with that our attentions on golf course health and playability increase.

We saw more positive progression on turf health in December, even with another dry month. We did see 1 beneficial rain event that brought us 1.5” of rain. We saw a great response on the course as a result. Our fertility/acid injection system continues to pay dividends as now we have 6 weeks or more of usage and results are evident. Our irrigation water is working down to the low 7’s in pH and our ponds are approaching low to mid 7’s. This is encouraging at this time of year, when we are not receiving rain, which was our major driving force on ph. We received great feedback from our Fall member guest and currently we are prepping for our Member-member event at the first of this month.

The putting greens continue to show good health and smooth roll. The reduction of ph. has made nutrients tied up now able to release and be available to the turf. I feel what we are seeing now, the greens are growing and thickening like we have never seen before at this time of year. We are working to balance fertility/acid injection on the greens as not to over affect green speeds from overgrowth. We should be able to maintain health we are seeing yet keep greens at an adequate speed. We are always assessing the greens for needle tine venting and regular topdressing.

On the golf course this month, we will continue to scrutinize for attention to details and good playability. Due to drier weather and further turf health, we have raised heights on tees and fairways in recent months. As nighttime temperatures continue to be in the 50’s, regular turf growth will be challenging, even in overly fertile conditions. We are making a concerted effort to continually feed weaker rough, fairway, and tee boxes needed. Other main objectives this month are to control the start of Bermudagrass mites, poa annua, and other winter weeds. Algae control in the ponds has improved. As the weather cools, we typically see this during this time of year, however we are hopeful with lower ph. and better biology we can be more consistent when weather warms.

As we get into the new year, we look forward to better things to come as we move forward with positive progressions. We are working on our plans to continue to bring about a great golf season.

RACQUET SPORTS UPDATE Dear Members, As the year draws to a close, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Looking back on 2025, I am deeply grateful for your continued support of our events and programs. It is your passion for the game that makes the Racquet Center such a special place to be. ​We are already hard at work planning to make 2026 a year to remember. We have some exciting changes in store, and I look forward to sharing more details with you soon.

I​n the meantime, I am happy to announce that our new online court booking system for both tennis and pickleball is officially live! We hope this makes getting out on the court easier than ever. From tucked corners to slippery slopes, every green will be a wild adventure! Competition Details Friday Format: Front-nine is better ball of partners, and Back-nine is modified alternate shot. (Hit, Switch, Hit, Pick) Saturday Format: 1 Better Ball of Partners on all holes except 9 & 18 where the team will record both balls.

Handicap Allocation: USGA Recommendation on all Formats.

Additional Competitions: Team Skins matching the format, and Closest to the Pins on all par 3's both days.

Pari-Mutuel Pick win, place, and/or show for the flight winner shootout. $5 minimum bid and increments of $5 as much as you like.

Shootout Format: Teams will play Alternate Shot, picking only the 1 st tee shot Handicap Allocation: USGA Alternate Shot 50% of combined team handicap, divided by the portion of the golf course being played.

The lowest score in every flight will make the flight winner shootout.

The lowest day 2 score to not win its flight will be the 1st wildcard.

The lowest tournament total to not win its flight will be the 2nd wildcard.

9 Flight Winners, and 2 Wildcards will make the shootout.

Shootout to be held on #18 consecutively.

Chip-offs will break ties to advance if necessary.
