“Reigning with Purpose,” is an exciting VBS lesson series that emphasizes good stewardship through a fun western theme! Based on 1 Peter 4:10, which invites kids to explore how they can reign as responsible stewards in various areas of their lives and focus their “reigns” on the important aspects of life, with gifts that God has entrusted to them.
Through engaging activities, stories, and fun western-themed crafts, “Reigning with Purpose” will equip VBS Adventurers with the tools they need to be faithful stewards in every aspect of their lives. Join us for this next VBS adventure!

Lesson 1: Care for My Self (Key Verse: Romans 12:1)
• Message: Participants will learn that taking care of their physical and mental health is essential, just like cowboys care for their trusty steed (horse). They’ll discover how healthy habits help them serve God and others better.
Lesson 2: Care for My Relationships (Key Verse: Matthew 7:12)
• Message: In this lesson, learners will explore the importance of friendships and family, learning how to “lasso” love and kindness in their interactions, thus building strong bonds in their community.

Lesson 3: Care for My World (Key Verse: Genesis 1:26,28)
• Message: Learners will become “Earth Rangers,” understanding how to care for God’s creation. They’ll learn about protecting the environment and being responsible stewards of the land, just like pioneers tended to their homesteads.
Lesson 4: Care for My Finances (Key Verse: Luke 6:38)
• Message: This lesson will help learners understand the value of money and resources. They’ll learn to be “money wranglers,” making wise choices about saving, spending, and sharing, all while practicing generosity.
Lesson 5: Care for My Gifts (Key Verse: Matthew 25:14–30)
• Message: In the final lesson, learners will discover and/or examine their unique talents and abilities. They’ll learn to “saddle up for service” and use their gifts to serve others, recognizing that God has a purpose for each of them.
