The RGS Today Monday 8 June 2020 Issue 464
General Reminders Physics Clinic: The Physics Clinics resumes online this week. It is open to students in any year group, and takes place at lunch times between 1.15pm and 1.45pm on the following days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until 19 June. Please use this link to access the meeting and a Physics teacher should be there to answer any Physics related queries you have (NLO). Mallison Library: All Library loans have been renewed again until the beginning of next term, Friday 4 September. If arrangements are made for leavers to return textbooks at an earlier date, then leavers’ Library books will be returnable at the same time. Thank you for your co-operation (TFF). Social Responsibility: We hope that you continue to enjoy being able to meet up with some friends and family, now that is allowed in a restricted way. However, it is important as responsible members of society to abide by the government regulations for the sake of your own health and that of others. Groups should be no more than six people and you should continue to remain socially distanced (i.e. 2 metres apart). Please ensure you adhere strictly to these guidelines. Cricket Coaching: Michael Barnes, the RGS Guildford Cricket Professional, is now providing opportunities for one-to-one cricket coaching. These sessions are running independently from the School and are possible after the slight relaxation of lockdown measures surrounding cricket. Please see my email or contact me for further details (GDGC). Pride Month: Advanced warning that tomorrow, Tuesday 9, in the light of the current protests in America following the death of George Floyd, and as part of our Pride Month programme, Sam Cherry will be remotely returning to RGS Pride to present on The Life and Death of Marsha P. Johnson: Gender, Race and Revolution. All are welcome. If you would like to be added to the Team, please email Hugh Jones (8636@rgsg.co.uk) (FAB).
