You may find them less essential if you pursue product design. The exception would be Chemical Engineering

THE APPRENTICESHIP ROUTE • A growing choice for students after they leave school • Engineering has seen some of the biggest growth • Degree Apprenticeship or straight to employment

DEGREE APPRENTICESHIPS • You are in a job at 18 gaining experience • You will get a degree • You don’t pay tuition fees and you earn a salary

• It isn’t the same as being at university especially in terms of the broader experience • It is not an easy option as you are effectively working full time and studying as well
