MONDAY 22 JUNE 5PM

From the HEADMASTER
Welcome to HartsFest 2026, our end-of-year celebration of music at RGS and a wonderful showcase of all that is special about our Performing Arts community. This highlight of our calendar brings the year to a close and gives us a chance to see, in one evening, the range and quality of music across the school.
Tonight you will hear singers and instrumentalists, ensembles, orchestras, bands and smaller groups. What sits behind each performance is a great deal of quiet work: rehearsals, persistence, teamwork and the willingness of students to support one another as they perform. There is something uplifting about a festival that captures the essence of the Reigate Way so well.
Hartsfest reflects something important about Performing Arts at RGS. It is not just about the show, but about confidence gained, collaboration learned and enjoyment for all. Those qualities come through clearly on evenings like this.
My thanks go to our Performing Arts team for all they do throughout the year and for the organisation behind tonight.
I hope you enjoy the evening and thank you for being here to support these talented Reigatians.
With my best wishes
Shaun Fenton Headmaster

From the DIRECTOR OF PERFORMING ARTS
Welcome to HartsFest 2026! As you read this, I hope you are settling in with a picnic, enjoying the summer air and looking forward to an evening of music and celebration. If the sunshine decides not to join us, a blanket or umbrella may come in handy –but the music will shine regardless.
Today marks a joyful culmination of a year filled with music-making across our schools. We are delighted to share performances featuring musicians of all ages and stages: this evening we showcase every RGS ensemble, Unplugged Sessions from some of our Upper Sixth leavers, and are joined by choirs from Reigate St Mary’s Prep School, Chinthurst Prep School, Brooklands School, Lime Tree Primary School, and, of course, our very own Parent Choir. From first performances to confident, accomplished musicianship, the programme reflects the richness and diversity of our musical life.
HartsFest is designed to be relaxed, inclusive and fun – a chance for families to come together, enjoy live music outdoors and to celebrate the collective effort behind every performance. There is also a moment for you, our much valued audience, to join in the grand finale in a way never seen before at RGS...stay tuned quite literally!.
I am incredibly proud of our students and staff for the commitment, enthusiasm and creativity they bring to music throughout the year, and thank you too for the continued support you give to the Performing Arts across our schools. I hope you enjoy every moment of HartsFest 2026!
