If you are thinking of installing underfloor heating in your home, here are some of the main benefits you’ll be able to enjoy.
• Works with different types of floor finishes
• Comfort
• Energy Efficiency
• Simple to control
• Free up valuable wall space
• Style with design
A traditional heating system using radiators typically have to reach quite a high temperature (65-75ºC) to maintain heat within a room.
Underfloor heating can meet the same room temperature but at a much lower rate of around 29ºC, or even less, depending on the floor type. Therefore, using less energy and substantially lowering energy bills.
Underfloor heating gives a more even room temperature ensuring all round comfortable warmth.
ProRange Heating UFH is manufactured to high quality specification, although underfloor heating is largely maintenance free, a regular service of your underfloor heating system is generally recommended. It’s always better to regularly maintain a system to ensure it’s constantly running smoothly and efficiently.
Once installed you simply control the temperature as you need and the system does the rest by heating up your home.
With no more requirements for radiators, this in turn allows more creative freedom when it comes to decorating and designing individual rooms. Radiators restrict where objects can be positioned, but without them in place you can maximise the space available to you.
The ProRange Heating UFH ‘Staple System’ has been developed to be used in combination with floor insulation to provide a secure method of securing the pipes to the insulation layer below. ‘Staple System’ is suitable for use with screed floors.
The ProRange Heating UFH ‘Staple & Rail System’ has been developed to be used in combination with floor insulation to provide a secure method of securing the pipes to the insulation layer below. ‘Staple & Rail System’ is suitable for use with screed floors.
The ProRange Heating UFH ’Heat Emission Plate System’ has been developed to be used in combination with timber joists to provide a secure method of securing the pipes. Heat Emission ‘Plate System’ is used for joisted floors.
The ProRange Heating UFH ‘20mm Overlay System’ has been developed to be used where screeding is not an option. ‘20mm Overlay System’ is used for solid existing floors.
Installation
1. The sub floor needs to be flat and cleared of any debris.
2. The 15mm Slimboard are fixed down using a flexible tile adhesive or securely fixed using nine screws per board, the Slim return panels need to be secured using screws.
3. ProRange Heating pipework can then be laid into the panel in accordance with the design provided.
4. An optional layer of 3mm latex can then be laid before tiling or directly to the panel. If carpet or lino are being laid then the 3mm layer of latex is required.
5. Final floor finish can then be laid.
The ProRange Heating ‘15mm Slimboard System’ has been developed where screed is not an option.
The ProRange Heating ‘15mm Slimboard System’ can be used for solid existing floors.
