Hydrolock® for beautiful continuous walls

We created Hydrolock® to enhance the visual impact of our wall panels. Precisely engineered, the Hydrolock® edge allows panels to be joined together, without the use of mid-joints, to create a smooth, almost seamless expanse of waterproof walls.

With an industry leading 6mm tolerance Hydrolock® panels are easy to install and produce a great finish every time.

Hydrolock® panels are available in a range of widths for ease of installation; 2400 x 598 mm, 2400 x 900 mm & 2400 x 1200 mm

The Hydrolock® joint reduces the finished face by 18m i.e. 2400mm x 1200mm becomes 2400 x 1182mm. Straight edge panels are also available.

The Tile Collection

The Large Tile Collection has been specifically designed to create the illusion of depth and open space and looks stunning in big and small bathrooms alike. Explore our range of matt, cool-toned neutrals or our spectacular marbles and mineral effects.

Thanks to state-of-the-art manufacturing technology the panels in the Large Tile Collection look and feel like real ceramic tiles. The grout line is purely decorative and requires no maintenance but still evokes that classic, timeless look.

Panels in the Tile Collection are 598mm wide and all feature our Hydrolock® edge. Please note that the Hydrolock® edge reduces the finished face of the panel by 18mm, i.e. 2400mm x 598mm becomes 2400mm x 580mm.

Tile size is 580mm x 400mm with a 2.5mm grout line.

All panels are 11mm thick.

Take the stress out of your bathroom project

Getting a new bathroom should be an exciting and enjoyable process, but it can quickly become stressful if the space available, location of windows, doors and waste don’t match with your vision of a dream bathroom.

The good news is, that these simple steps empower you to make your bathroom renovation project as stress-free as possible.

Understand your current home heating system

The heating system in our homes can often be a mystery, however, the water pressure in your house can have a real impact on the products you choose.

Most homes are heated in one of three ways.

Combination Boiler

If you have a combination boiler, you will obviously have a boiler, but you won’t have a water tank in the loft or a cylinder in your airing cupboard. You won’t have a timer set for your hot water; it will simply be hot whenever you require it.

Unvented Sealed System

With an unvented system, you won’t have a water tank in the loft, but you will have a pressurised cylinder elsewhere in the house to supply hot water on demand.

Open Vent System

With an open vent system, you will have a cold-water storage tank in the loft AND a foam lagged cylinder elsewhere in the house. Once you have used the reserve of hot water you will have to wait for more to be heated. Be mindful of the system you have in your home and ensure you let your merchant know when discussing the products, you are interested in.

Understand what space you have

You can easily picture your bathroom; however, your bathroom designer may struggle to visualise a space they haven’t seen. The simplest way around this is to draw a basic floorplan with measurements of each wall. Ensure you make a note of where the windows and doors are, your designer will be grateful to know and understand the space they are working with. It also helps to know

which walls are outside walls, which are solid walls, and, if possible, which way the joists run under the floor.

Something which is often overlooked, but is incredibly useful to the designer, is knowing where the soil pipe is positioned. Checking this simple piece of information will make product selection much easier.

Nail your must-haves

You may have no idea what you’d like your finished bathroom to look like, or have a very specific vision of the finished article. What is key is deciding on the musthave features and then working around those. Whether you have fallen in love with the idea of a roll-top bath, a rainforest shower, or a particularly beautiful tile design, make sure you let your designer know and show as many design references as possible.

The daily demands

It is vital your designer understands the demands on your bathroom. The same space can be designed completely differently depending upon who is using it. For example, a mature couple will place completely different demands on their bathroom than a young family. Understanding the demographics of your home can help to find a solution that can both work for you now, and will also stand the test of time.

By reading the above points and doing some initial planning prior to meeting with your bathroom designer will mean they can very quickly recommend products that suit your space and maximise your enjoyment of the finished room.

Bathroom Measurement Guide

Follow these steps to collate all the vital information for your bathroom makeover.

Step 1: What type of boiler do you have?

The water pressure in your house makes a big difference when selecting products that are suitable. Your bathroom designer will be able to advise you on the most suitable products based on whether you have a Combination Boiler, Unvented Sealed System or Open Vent System.

Combination Boiler – No tanks in the loft or cylinders in airing cupboards

Unvented Sealed System – No tanks in the loft but pressurised cylinder elsewhere in the house Open Vent System – Gravity system with cold water storage tank in the loft with foam lagged cylinder elsewhere in the house.

Step 2: Sketch your existing bathroom

Simply sketch the shape of your bathroom and position the key items such as bath, shower, basin, toilet, towel rail etc. The sketch doesn’t need to be too detailed or a work of art!

Step 3: Measure your bathroom

The easiest way to measure your bathroom is one wall at a time, working in a clockwise direction and naming each wall as you go (e.g. Wall A, Wall B, Wall C, Wall D). For larger spaces, you may want to get help from another person to hold one end of the tape measure.

TOP TIP: Use the floorplan grid overleaf to make it easier to draw the shape of your bathroom based on your measurements.

Of course, not all spaces are simple box shapes but in those instances, just log down each wall width by using additional letters.

Step 4: Measuring key features

When it comes to planning where specific items go in your bathroom, it is really helpful to know where things like the window and door are positioned as they are fixed items that generally aren’t moved unless major renovations are taking place.

TOP TIP: To check your measurements, add all the separate section widths (1), (2), (3) and check that equals the figure for the overall width.

Step 5: Position of the soil pipe

It may seem such a small point but from a design and product point of view, knowing where the soil pipe is positioned is hugely beneficial. The diagrams below show how to identify where it is currently in your bathroom.

Step 6: Inspiration

This is where the fun really begins. It is time to start collecting magazine cuttings, creating Pinterest boards, saving Instagram images and taking photos of bathrooms you like. Having a range of visual references will help your designer to create your dream bathroom!
