Benefits of Reynaers Aluminium Systems:

Enhanced natural light and connection to outdoors: Large expanses of glass bring in natural light, creating brighter, more inviting learning spaces and a visual connection to the outside. Additional light helps to reduce eye strain and positively influences mood.

Ventilation and aeration: Maintaining a healthy airflow is critically important in schools to maintain student and teacher health and reduce illness transmission, ultimately to improve cognitive function and academic performance.

Energy efficiency: High-performing systems with thermal breaks and advanced glazing can significantly reduce heating costs and help manage solar gain, making the buildings more environmentally efficient.

Aesthetic flexibility: Curtain Wall can be customised with different finishes, colours, and styles to match the school’s design, framing striking entrances, and/or creating impressive, glazed features like atria.

Durability and weather resistance: Systems are designed to be robust and to withstand weather conditions like wind and rain, providing a reliable barrier.

Security: Systems are available with high-security hardware and accreditations like STS202 (BR2), PAS 24, and Secured by Design, which is important for school environments.

Cost-effective installation and maintenance: Reynaers systems can be designed for quicker site assembly, and some offer easy, internal replacement of individual glazed units, if needed.

Material versatility: Aluminium curtain wall system solutions provide flexibility to match existing window and door systems.

Premium finish and coating: Systems supplied with Class 2 architectural powder coating as standard, providing enhanced durability and consistent aesthetic performance.

Offsite construction ready: Suitable for integration with precast façade systems, supporting offsite manufacture and streamlined installation on site.

Passive House Certified solutions

As the UK strives to reduce its environmental impact, the demand for Passive House standard buildings is on the rise. Reynaers’ Passive House Certified solutions provide excellent performance levels year-round, whilst promoting a warm and comfortable interior.

Factors such as temperature, indoor air quality, and noise levels inside a building directly impact the comfort levels and cognitive performance of occupants.

At Reynaers, we are constantly renewing product performance and exploring new ways to certify even more of our systems. That way, we ease component selection for professionals in the design phase of their energy-efficient buildings.

“We use the Passive House standard as a reference point when designing our highly insulated products. That way, we contribute to more energy-efficient buildings.”

This Yorkshire school provides education for children of 3-19 years of age. Sponsored by Bradford College, the academy is named after Sir Edward Appleton, a Nobel Prize winning scientist who both studied and worked there.

H&J Martin appointed Lindner Prater to deliver a complete building envelope solution. The works included a striking cedar rain screen finish to the exterior of the building, together with Reynaers Eco 50 windows and ConceptWall 50 curtain walling with insert vents.

The result is a striking building that rises from the ground to take a commanding position on the surrounding landscape.
