1963 1956
Reyn Meets Spooner
Under the palms of Waikīkī Beach, Ruth Spooner’s one-machine operation earns acclaim for expertly tailored surf trunks. Reyn McCullough takes notice, bringing his vision together with her craftsmanship, and Reyn Spooner is born.
Turning Aloha Inside Out
Reyn pioneers the reverse print, refining the Aloha shirt by blending sun-faded prints, elevated tailoring, and durable Spooner Kloth™, creating a new standard for island style.
1983
A Holiday Tradition
Our first Hawaiian Christmas shirt launches, beginning a beloved annual tradition, with each limited-edition print designed to be collected and worn for seasons to come.
Wearable Icons
