Hours of Operation e Gold Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses, the La Loma and Salado Del Rio. In the past, both the All-Army Championships and the Texas Open have been held on these courses. e Gold Club features a practice chipping green, lighted driving range, private car storage, rental clubs, and 150 rental carts. Within the clubhouse, Mulligan’s o ers a full menu of snack bar items. e club also features a Pro Shop with top-of-the-line equipment, men’s and women’s apparel, year-round lessons and clinics for beginners or seasoned players.

Hours of Operation e MWR Ticket o ce, located in the Sam Houston Club, o ers discount tickets to local theme parks and attractions such as SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas, and to vacation destinations such as Walt Disney World. e ticket o ce also sells tickets to movies and special events happening in the local area.

Hours of Operation e Sam Houston Community Center provides a relaxing atmosphere to meet friends or coworkers for lunch during the week and a hang out on the weekends. e Community Center also serves as a venue for conferences, training and social events. e facility features the Ticket O ce, Java Café, free WiFi, a game room for adults with pool tables and 12 at screens with Direct TV cable. With over 3,000 sq , the Event Center has 5 di erent venues available for hosting your special event to include full service catering.

Hours of Operation ursday/Saturday: 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. e Bowling Center o ers a familyfriendly atmosphere, perfect for a night out or a unit or o ce gathering. e center includes 24 lanes, a video arcade and a snack bar. Every Saturday evening the center features “Bowl-A-Jam.” Sundays are Family Bowling Day, and Soldier Appreciation Day is held on Saturdays from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Leagues are available for all skill levels.

Camp Bullis Recreation Area

Hunting at Camp Bullis is open to all DOD ID card holders; however, active duty military personnel have priority. A Texas stage hunting license and a Camp Bullis hunting permit are required to hunt. e facility includes 125 ri e-hunting stands, 17 turkey hunting blinds, 20 archery hunting areas, 15 dove hunting areas, RV storage lot, and a hunting lodge.
Another highlight is the pay-as-yougo cat sh pond. e pond is restocked in March and June with three to ve pound channel cat sh. A shing license is not required. ere is no daily fee.
Camp Bullis also features a Sportsman’s Range where shooters can re personal rearms.
JBSA Recreation Area at Canyon Lake
Phone: (830) 226-5357 e recreation area, located 50 miles north of San Antonio on the shore of Canyon Lake, o ers a variety of activities which include: camping, shing, boating, swimming, three covered picnic areas and two large pavilions. Various lodging accommodations are available: three-bedroom mobile homes, screened cabanas, primitive camping sites and an RV park.
A full-service marina provides water sport equipment at reasonable prices. RV and boat storage are also available onsite.
Student Activity Center

Hours of Operation e three-level building, situated in the heart of the Medical Education and Training Campus, sits on the grounds of the old Hacienda Recreation Center. e main level features a large foyer with multiple seating areas where students can sit and visit, study or relax during lunch or a er class.

Equestrian Center

Hours of Operation e Equestrian Center o ers a variety of activities for patrons of all ages and skill levels. Group and private lessons, pony rides, trail rides and boarding are available. Open horse shows are held throughout the year to give riders a chance to display their talents.

Our goal is to provide fun a tness environment that meet the needs of all tness levels and keep exercise enthusiasts motivated as they pursue their tness goals.
Fitness Center on the METC is also home to the Sports O ce. Sports programs include Joint Students’ Intramural Sports and Special Events, Intramural Sports, Varsity Sports and the Service Member Adaptive Reconditioning Program. Sports provide patrons with the opportunity to enhance morale and unit esprit de corps and o ered to individuals and teams with competition and noncompetitive games.

Hunting
e 79th Texas Legislature passed HB 1076, which directs the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission to waive all fees for hunting and shing licenses for Texas residents currently on active duty as a member of the military. e new Texas Resident Active Duty Military “Super Combo” Hunting and All-Water Fishing Package (Type 510), which is free, will be available to any Texas resident who is a member of the U.S. Armed Forces on active duty, including members of the Reserved or National Guard on active duty. is package includes all ve state stamp endorsements (archery, freshwater shing, and migratory game bird, saltwater shing with a red drum tag and upland game bird). e Federal Waterfowl (duck) Stamp is not included. For a member of the military to qualify for a free “Super Combo,” he or she must have continuously resided in Texas for more than six months before obtaining the license. A member of the military who does not qualify as a Texas resident for the purpose of obtaining a military “Super Combo” in Texas may purchase any resident hunting and shing license. Hunter Education Class
In accordance with new Army regulations, every person hunting on Army land is required to successfully complete a hunter’s education course. is requirement is mandatory at Camp Bullis as of the 2005 Hunting Season. e Outdoor Recreation Center at Camp Bullis will provide these classes in an e ort to a ord each individual that opportunity.
