released a slew of documents regarding the Amtrak 188 derailment, which happened close to nine months ago. Although it does put to rest most of the conspiracy theories regarding flying rocks, flying bullets or texting while operating a train, it doesn’t bring anyone any closer to a conclusion on what actually caused one of the worst transportation disasters to hit our region.

required venues in town to essentially create a Big Brotheresque entertainer registry complete with the names, personal addresses, and phone numbers of performers who’ve played gigs at their locales. This info could then be shared with police. Doesn’t that just make you want to set your tour sites on Philly, national acts? But, like Donald Trump losing Iowa, sometimes wisdom prevails, and Squilla squashed the prop.

ART
InLiquid Benefit 2016
C
rane Arts hosts Benefit 2016 this week, a stunning display of contemporary art from emerging to established artists. Located in the buzzing Kensington arts district, Crane Arts will transform their first floor, the Icebox Project Space, into a three-day extravaganza of over 250 art pieces from local and international artists. The weekend’s theme will be “Press Bid to Play” where guests will be able to bid on items through mobile bidding platform 501 Auctions. The weekend-long festivities kick off with Young Professionals Night, where new collectors will have the chance to be the first to view and bid on the art on display. Paintings, photography, fashion and furniture pieces are just some of the variety of works which will be available for purchase. YPN also offers an exciting opportunity for young professionals to network with participating organizations, including Rago Arts, Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Asian Arts Initiative and dozens more. The party really gets going on Saturday night,
when guests will be wowed by an array of artwork stretching across three rooms and 4,500 square feet. Browse work by artists at all levels, including Shepard Fairey, Jacque Liu, Jon Manteau, Diane Burko and more. Lori Zimmer, blogger for Art Nerd New York, will guest curate a selection of art. Artgoers can enjoy catered snacks from Birchtree Catering as they browse the space, along with Tito’s Handmade cocktails and Philadelphia Brewing Company’s cider. The last day is a pickup party where auction winners can pick up their items, bid on any remaining items and enjoy light refreshments. This will be InLiquid’s 16th annual silent auction benefit which supports and promotes visual artists. InLiquid is a nonprofit organization committed to gaining exposure for visual artists while also serving as a place to learn more about art in the Philadelphia region. —NOE GARCIA

+1 The Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate was the scene of
a fierce auction for the black Fiat 500L Pope Francis rode in while in town. The new owners? Michael and Kate Chapman, of Chapman Auto Group. If you’re feeling nostalgic for the potif, you’ll now be able to visit the little Italian compact at it’s new home in Horsham.
+1 uberPOOL has plans to
launch in Philly, allowing you to hitch a ride with other uber-ers going in the same direction, promising savings of nearly half what UberX charges. The Pool option is only for solo or paired passengers, who will get the pleasure of awkwardly sandwiching in the backseat together. And you thought your overlychatty driver was annoying.

DOG TRAINING TIP #1 MOTIVATE YOUR DOG WITH TREATS Dogs, just like humans, like to be rewarded. If you ask your dog to do something and they ignore you, show them a yummy treat and ask again. Knowing there is a delicious reward in store will motivate them to work with you! Give them lots of praise and they will be more likely to offer that behavior in the future.

I love the designer, who makes stunningly beautiful games that I brag about every chance I get (www.cipherprime.com). I love the partner, who made a card game with me and comes to support me at every single one of my shows. I love you, you silly, driven, reckless, sexy, playful, handsome, stubborn, crafty, brazen, stylish, crazy man. I love every part of you. Will you marry me?

The Wilbur Theatre
A
large crowd braved a snowstorm to come out to Savage Love Live at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre last week. Questions were submitted on index cards, which allowed questioners to remain anonymous and forced them to be succinct. I got to as many of them as I could over two long, raucous, boozy hours. Here are some of the questions I didn’t have time for in Boston… What do you think of poop play? I think of it rarely. How long should I keep my partner locked in male chastity?
choice we made to have kids. Magnum condoms are just marketing, right? Wrong—but you don’t have to take my word for it. Just spend 10 minutes on Tumblr and you’ll see for yourself. I accidentally told my dad about your podcast when teaching him how to use iTunes. I called home a couple of weeks later, and Dad told me he’s been listening and Mom yells, “I’m not gonna pee on you!” It could’ve been worse. Mom could’ve yelled: “We can’t talk right now! I’m peeing on your father!”
Until Rick Santorum is president. What exactly causes relationships to end? Relationships end for all sorts of different reasons—boredom, neglect, contempt, betrayal, abuse—but all relationships that don’t end survive for the same reason: The people in them just keep not breaking up. Sometimes people in relationships that need to end never get around to breaking up. I was in an open relationship once and was heartbroken in the end because my partner broke the rules we made. My current partner wants to make our monogamous relationship open, but I am hesitant because of my previous burn. How do I get over this and become comfortable with an open relationship again? Rejecting nonmonogamy because your last nonmonogamous relationship failed makes about as much sense as rejecting monogamy because your last monogamous relationship failed. If people applied the same standard to closed relationships that they apply to open ones (“I was in one that failed so I can never enter into another one!”), most of us would’ve had two relationships in our lives— one open, one closed—and then either taken a vow of celibacy or pledged to stick to NSA sex for the rest of our lives. Our choices are informed by our experience, of course, and you had a bad experience with an open relationship. Open relationships might not be for you. But it’s also possible that the problem with your last relationship wasn’t the openness but the partner. Advice for happily child-free people in a babyand parent-worshipping world? You could take comfort in your free time, your disposable income, and your vomitfree wardrobe. You could also see baby and parent worship for what it is: a desperate attempt on the part of the busy, broke, and vomit-spackled (and the people trying to sell stuff to us) to make ourselves feel better about the consequential and irrevocable 20 | Philly Weekly | February 4 -10, 2016 | phillyweekly.com
My husband and I (30s, M/F, two kids) found out our best friends of 20 years were secretly poly. And we didn’t know! Well, we all fucked. Now our relationship/friendship is fucked, too. How do we move on from this mess? People who are poly say they want more love, sex, and joy in their lives—but some poly people seem to want more chaos, drama, and hurt in their lives. Unless you know a couple well, or unless you’ve noticed the trail of destruction they’ve left in their wake, there’s just no way to tell what they’re really after until after you’ve slept with them. Anyway, how do you move on? You send a note, you apologize for your part in the chaos, drama, and hurt, and you express a desire to mend the friendship. Hopefully you’ll hear from them. Like most gay men in their early 30s, I enjoy chatting and sending pics of my nether regions via dating apps. My conflict is that I am a public school teacher. While I believe I have a right to a sex life, what if someone I send a pic to disagrees? Do you think I should stop? We need to pick a day for everyone on earth to intentionally release a pic of their nether regions online. It should be an annual holiday—just to get it over with and to prevent moralizing scolds from going after people whose pics go unintentionally astray. But schoolteachers have been fired for sexting. So… whether you stop or not depends on the degree of risk you’re comfortable with and the faith you have in the discretion of the folks you’re meeting on apps. We’re both over 40, married 10 years. He wants a threesome, and I’m ambivalent. He says +1 girl, I say +1 boy. What do we do? Upgrade to a foursome with +1 opposite-sex couple. n

What her clients say:
“Pam Thistle was able to work with my unusual schedule, she met me in locations all over the city, showed me an array of
houses in my budget so I could understand what was available across Philadelphia. She remembered what I liked and didn’t like about houses, and was able to filter homes I would like

Notice of Intent to Remediate
Notice of Submission of a Remedial Investigation Report, Risk Assessment and Cleanup Plan Pursuant to the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act, the act of May 19, 1995 (35 P.S. Sections 6026.101 - 6026.909) ("Act 2"), notice is hereby given that Philadelphia-Harbison, LP has submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection ("PADEP") a Notice of Intent to Remediate ("NIR") the property located at 5400 Tulip Street in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. The property consists of one (1) warehouse building containing approximately 383,000 square feet of space, one (1) pump house building and one (1) gas house building situated on an approximate 13acre parcel of land. Site characterization and remedial investigations have identified impacts of volatile organic compounds ("VOCs") to the soil and groundwater on the property that are attributed to the historical operations. The intended future use of the subject property is commercial. This public notice represents Philadelphia-Harbison, LP's intent to request cleanup liability protection available under Act 2 using a combination of statewide health standards and site-specific standards for the remediation of soil and groundwater.
